Helping kids believe in themselves!

I feel so fortunate to have found Cool Koala for my 5 and 8 year old. Ryan and his good friend Cool Koala have become like family members each night, guiding our kids to sleep. Our 8 year old has often spoken of having “too many tabs open” in her brain at bedtime. My wife began sharing some sleep meditations at one point but unfortunately the app we used only had a handful of mediations for kids. After a google search for more meditations for kids we found Cool Koala and it was an instant hit. Meditations are new each night but follow a theme for each day of the week, which offers consistency of message. Routine is important to kids with anxiety as in our family, so knowing what will happen each Tuesday or Wednesday is always a plus. Ryan’s delivery is very calming but more importantly helps deliver a message or lesson in self affirmation to all kids but especially those suffering from anxiety. We also enjoy that each meditation runs about 15 minutes with half of the time being wind down time with calming music and ocean sounds to reflect on the lesson. Its a tough time to be a parent and keep your cool. And it’s a tough time to be a kid, let alone one with anxiety. It’s comforting to know that each night when I hear “Hey! It’s Ryan! And I’m here with my good friend Cool Koala…” that positive messages at the end of a busy day will help my kids believe in themselves and bring the day to a calm, positive close.

The Meditation app your kids NEED!

Cool Koala is the meditation app that you NEED if you have children tend to get a little bit more excited, anxious, rambunctious, or just tend to need to find their center! I’ve been using koala with our three boys, especially at bedtime, for the last couple of months and it has made transitioning from being awake to being in a calm state and ready to fall asleep so much easier.With the addition of a phone app we are now able to take a koala with us wherever we go help our kids find their "happy place" quickly and calmly. I cannot recommend this app enough for any parent and feel as though integrating Cool Koala into regular practice for daily life is integral for keeping kids happy and calm!

Great tool to help little ones settle at bedtime

My 4.5-year-old always struggles to settle himself for bedtime. He wiggles and worms his way around bed trying to find a good position, finds it hard to resist asking all the questions in his brain at the end of the day, and requires lots of back rubs and pats. Bedtime was becoming frustratingly long for mom and dad. This app has helped us bypass all that. He readily jumps in bed to hear his koala friend. The calming intro and music immediately help him settle his body and calm his mind. The meditation lesson helps focus his thoughts and bring him closer to relaxation, and the music and environmental sounds at the end help lull him to sleep. The only downside is mom has to fight not to fall asleep, too! I found it truly relaxing even for myself. Great app.

After using this app for several months, I have seen a remarkable positive impact not only at bedtime, but throughout the day. The meditations offer breathing and visualization techniques which prove to be helpful in various situations (for example, imagining your worries put into a balloon and drifting away into the sky), and our son now asks to listen to Cool Koala every night.From Ryan's calm voice to the relaxing accompanying guitar music, we have found this app and the meditations it provides to be the ideal way to close each day with our son. We highly recommend this app!
