Decompose is an application allowing an easy and flawless extraction of elements from pictures in order to use them to make composite images. It is the perfect tool for making images for web pages, newspapers and magazines or simply for your own creations. Extracted objects are saved as a TIFF file with transparency. Decompose also corrects colors to remove all traces of the previous background, thus generating perfect mattes.

Cannot get past select more pixels

Gave up on this app. Not easy to use.
Draw the outline, fill it, and then expect to extraxt it.
Every time the error to pick more pixels pops up.
Tells you to check the help file.
Sure would be fun to use if it was user friendly.

Couldn't get it to work well

I downloaded it, enticed by the claims. I couldn't get it to work. Everytime I tried to "decompose" my image, I got a message that said to select more of the foreground pixels. I kept trying to do this, but never figured it out. I went to their help site and tried to follow their instructions, but that didn't work either.

I finally got it to work, but not well. I did not get any results close to the little girl they have pictured in their before and after example. I have a new iMac with a Intel Core i5 processor and "Decomposed" really stalled out.

Wow, Needs Lots of Work! :-(

I've had this program for sometime and so far its just wasting harddrive space.
You have to be using almost a perfectly blanced photo just to get the tools to act right, then when your target area is removed the
definition is loss!
I really wanted a short cut program that I could use to do one task (with out opening PhotoShop, etc.) but the program is so buggy, I
find myself using my other software anyway. I sencerely hope this program is updated soon or it just a loss and deleted.
