The DragTuner run logger is the core of the mobile app. It allows users to log their timeslip, conditions, and other various information. Choose a track from one of the many pre-loaded tracks in the United States or add your own. DragTuner allows you to add the event as well which will be saved for later runs. Choose between ¼ mile and ⅛ mile and enter your timeslip.

Version 2.0.0 introduces some features such as ET Prediction and car configurations. ET Prediction allows a user to predict their ET based on three previous runs and the current weather. Car configurations allow the user to separate their logged runs by vehicle as well as add custom fields for each vehicle.

Track and weather conditions are key to your race car’s performance. When adding a run, under the conditions tab, click Get Weather to get the latest weather based on your location. DragTuner uses location services in your device to get your location and query the closest weather station in your area. We return the following fields: temperature, density altitude, humidity, barometer, dew point, wind speed & direction, and water grains. On this same screen, there are also fields for track temperature and notes.

The notes screen, which can be found under the “Notes” tab on the “Add Run” screen, is used for storing car setup notes. Currently we support the following fields: estimated ET, dial in, delay, tire pressure, and notes.

All of the fields described above can be filtered and sorted upon by using the Filter Run feature by pressing the filter icon on the home screen in the top righthand corner.

DragTuner requires a subscription to use the application. DragTuner subscriptions give the user full access to the app and they are auto-renewing. Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period at a price of either monthly or yearly price depending on your subscription. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to Account Settings on the device after purchase. A free trial period of 7 days is included with the subscription. After the trial period expires, you will be charged at the monthly or yearly price depending on your choice when you sign up.

Great app with potential!

Loving the app for keeping logs of everything at the track. It would be very nice if you could add a cloud backup option to iCloud, box, Dropbox, or even a local backup for when you inevitably have to switch phones.

It would also be nice if you could flag a run for this like hit the brakes, lifted, or issues so you can identify it from the run screen without having to go into each run and check the notes.

Developer Response ,

Hello,The data is stored on the cloud now. Upon switching phones, just download the app, log in, and you will have all of your data from DragTuner.

For filtering out the incomplete runs (brakes, lifted, issues, etc), you can un-toggle the Include in ET Prediction switch when entering a new run or editing an existing one. Then, you can go to Settings in the drawer menu, and toggle the option to filter out runs that aren't included in ET prediction. This is a way to filter out bad runs by default. Thanks for using the app, you can reach us at with any questions, concerns or requests.

Trying it again

Had issues with it to start, but after a few updates it’s working great. Not quite as accurate as track based software of course, but for the price it can’t be beat.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for trying out the app and for the review! The behavior you are seeing with the ET predictor is obviously not intended and we would like to get this working. Please reach out to with the data you are using to predict. The errors I have seen with ET prediction are usually related to limited data, inconsistent data (early shutdown passes or parts breakage), or trying to predict in extremely different weather conditions from the runs you currently have stored.

Weather data

Weather data does not update fast enough. Can’t wait 10-15 minutes to log weather. I had to wait to get weather for my run

Developer Response ,

I'd like to discuss this further as if the weather is taking 10-15 minutes to load then there is a bug or the cell service must be limited. It should be almost instant.

If you are referring to the weather only updating/changing every 10-15 minutes, then I think that is a non-issue because the weather doesn't change that much in 10-15 minutes except for extreme cases.

I'd like to discuss further if you have time. Please reach out to
