The work management app I’ve been waiting for...!

There’s too much in Ayoa to do it justice in a short review. Suffice to say that if you are a “visually oriented” thinker, this app is amazing. Better still, it allows you to convert that visual into workflows, Gantt charts, lists...whatever helps you take the idea to an actionable plan. The two way integration with Google Calendar is phenomenally useful in taking that plan or Gantt chart to the micro level and fitting it into your days and weeks.

There are a couple of minor things I’d like to see addressed. The app and website need a “dark mode”; the white background is too bright for long term use on a big screen. I’d like a way to convert a mind map into a Canvas. And I’d really like to see an option to keep completed items from disappearing from view (and subsequently from your calendar) after a short time. (There are work arounds for the latter.) But these are minor.

I’ve tried most of the solutions out there ... Sunsama, Monday, etc. They all have their strengths, but Aoya is by far the one best suited to how I work.

A Suggestion

Since this is already geared to have multiple users it should have a feature that allows lets say a district manager to assign a task to a person on the team. Then have it so that it takes both parties to check off the task in order for it to show completed. We call it inspecting what we expect. Often I leave tasks for managers to complete while I am away from their location. If they check it off as being done It would be nice If I could verify the completion on my next visit and check off my part. Two parity checking process. Don’t know any other way to explain this. Other than that this is a great product

Huge Suggestion to help reduce side scrolling... make columns collapsible ...

One of the biggest problems for me is having to scroll so far side to side in order get to columns further to the right. And trying to drag something from a far right column and back left is ridiculous - currently it is easier to just open the task completely and choose to move the item with the column controls within the task pop out than to drag and drop. Could you make the columns collapsible in their width and have the collapsed columns stack alongside each other? So open would be full width, then collapsed would be just a narrow column with the name of the column along the long edge so I know what column it is, but not see all the items in it. Then click the collapsed column again to make it full width. That way I could collapse the width of multiple columns and have just the columns I wanted to work with open. That would result in far less left-right scrolling and make it easier to drag and drop things between columns by collapsing the ones between them.
