Description

Take care of your eyes and body. Gentle break reminders will help you get the rest you need without interrupting your flow.

GET RID OF FATIGUES EYES

Ever get dry or tired eyes after a day of working on your Mac? The 20/20/20 rule will help you protect your eyes and make them feel better. EyesTrain gives you gentle reminders every 20 minutes, to look away for 20 seconds at an object about 20 feet (or 6 meters) away. This will give your eyes a micro break from focusing on a bright screen right in front of you all day. While you’re at it, this might be a good time to take a stretch, sit up straight and be happy with what you’ve accomplished in the past 20 minutes.

STAY IN THE FLOW

You need to focus to get your best work done on your Mac. EyesTrain gives you a small heads up before a break is due, so you don’t get surprised by a fullscreen window popping up. It’s also possible to pause the app for those moments when you just need to keep going.

Choose between subtle popover or a fullscreen timer when taking a break. The whole app is designed to help you stay productive in the long run without sacrificing yourself.

CUSTOMIZE TO YOUR NEEDS

EyesTrain comes with a default break schedule for protecting your eyes and taking care of your body, but can be fully customized. Set as many break timers as you need. Choose between countdown timers or reminders at a fixed time. It’s even possible to use EyesTrain to implement the Pomodoro technique.

STAY HEALTHY

We all know taking regular breaks is important, but it can be difficult to remember. Start taking breaks at regular intervals to take care of your eyes and body. Use the reminders to get in some movement, sit up straight to improve your posture or just relax and give your brain a few minutes off every now and then. Small changes can prevent symptoms such as dry eyes, headaches, back pain, a stiff neck and RSI. Make looking after yourself a lasting habit.
