Finger Count allows your children and students to count using their fingers.
When they see the objects on the screen they touch the screen with their fingertips to show how many objects there are. If there are 5 objects they touch with five fingers.
This is a great way of learning how to count from 1 to 10 without having to know what the numbers look like. The iPhone and Ipod Touch version count from 1 to 5 because there is a maximum of 5 touch points on the iPhone and iPod touch.
There is also a tap mode which allows them to count the objects one by one by tapping on the objects.
You can choose between a UK and US accent.
To access the settings menu, you need to hold down both the settings cogs at the same time, thus avoiding accidentally entering the settings mode.
A short introduction clip will play the first time you launch the app and can also be seen here:

This is a great idea to get kids to associate their fingers with number of objects except it does not always recognize fingers placed on the screen. Perhaps there is a time limit? Or it is freezing up...
Does not work.
