Version 2.1 includes: * Access new alert types in select regions for more effective monitoring: - RADD deforestation alerts - GLAD-S2 deforestation alerts * Users can also use the new “Select all connected alerts” button to automatically group the alerts connected to the currently selected alert.

We've been working on our app to make sure we're optimised for the latest OS and added the Tree Cover Loss 2019 Data.

Version 2.0 of the Forest Watcher app provides a significant update to the design of the app and adds key features to support the investigation of deforestation: *Alerts, routes, reports, contextual layers and basemaps may be overlaid on the map to identify locations for investigation. *Key GFW contextual layers can be accessed both on or offline *Custom layers can be uploaded to the app *Custom basemaps can be imported and used alongside the alerts and other layers available *Larger areas - up to 20,000sq km - can be added and monitored *Ability to view GLAD and fires alerts on the map at the same time *Alerts display their date of issue *Compass improvements *Ability to share alerts, areas, routes, reports, contextual layers and basemap tiles or all app content at once.

In this latest release we are excited to introduce initial Route Tracking functionality along with additional bug fixes.

App syncing is smoother, simpler and more friendly including a new pull to refresh feature! Other improvements: - Always show the line between alert selected and your position. - Use meters instead of km for distances. - Alert names changed from GLAD to deforestation and VIIRS to fires. - Show app version number in settings and login page. - Now it is easier to define your area. - Get notifications on data retrieval. And other fixes, including the facebook login.
