Interesting app with a ton of options. As a professional tile artist working with Islamic geometric pattern, this app is quite delightful. The amount of power it has, and the huge range of possibilities is staggering. This app makes it possible for people who have no background in Islamic pattern to create beautiful designs in minutes. Outputs in multiple formats if you want to use it with a printer or digital cutter. For $10, it is a steal! Anybody playing with pattern should be fascinated and intriqued by this app.

This is a beautiful app and a lot of fun to play with. It’s great for design. But I really wish it could include numerical overlays such as angle measurement and number of sides. It’s so interesting to see the way that the shapes fit together, and I would love to be able to tie the visual harmonies with their corresponding numerical patterns. For instance, seeing how some numbers of sides can’t be separated into symmetrical parts, but some can. But those that can don’t correspond to the base 10 numerical system. So it’s interesting that the way we are taught to use numbers, base 10, may not be the most useful way to visualize numbers.This applies to both the 2d and the 3d tiling apps.

When you right click in the shapes panel you will see the decimal angles and the fractional turn angles of the clicked shape as numerical overlays.Is this what you meant?

I seriously love this app, It was well worth the 10 dollars. I started using it for assignments for a geometry design class, and am still using it for fun! the only complaint I have is that the tiles have a incredibly small gap inbetween them, this is only noticable on large and complex designs since the gap adds up over time. But even that is just a nitpick, truly wonderful app.

Can you show me an example?Do you see the gaps on screen or after exporting?What file format do you use for export?Are the gaps less noticeable when you export it as larger image with more pixels?Do you have also gaps in the 3D mode?
