We all know how great this app is, despite the haters on the free tier. But I have to give mad props to the support team, even though initially they made me angry, because they sounded like Windows users that doesn't understand how a Mac works thus they gave me troubleshooting advice that I already tried, them not realizing the average Mac user is semi tech savvy, then I got turned over to a person that seems to know Macs, and finally gave me advice I haven't tried before, after weeks of back and forth, they stuck with me finally found a solution and it's running on my iMac without crashing on start. Once again mad props to the support team. In conclusion, VPNs are VPNs FOR THE MOST PART (so haters shut it), but support is that separate the boys from the men, the amateurs from the pros, a worthwhile app from a useless app.Guess support is like insurance? There are good insurance companies and great support teams, you guys are one of the best!!!

I’ve had HotSpot Shield for at least four years now and it has served me well. It’s my added layer of security while surfing the net - even though I only click on known “safe” websites and don’t go to any potentially risky ones. When I do click on a new website, I like that it asks me if I’m a robot. Those websites try to verify my IP address and they get bounced around, so, it’s okay that they need to confirm that I’m not a robotic program. I also don’t mind looking at local stores from someplace far from where I live - sometimes I look at them to see what they have that’s different from my actual local stores. I use the paid version so that if I have a problem with any of my devices or a website, I can contact support and they will fix whatever went wrong. I prefer responsibility and liability over the free service. To date, no specialized advertisements "just for me", no viruses, no trojans, and no ransomware.

Before using this vpn,it usually takes more then minutes to download a files but after using vpn to download the same document,it often takes more times on this ,this vpn allows us to connect ato a certain free node,but often only can allow us to use it for a few hours,and if we want to use it again,it will always remind us that it needs to be renewed to be able to use it,i really don’t like this design,is there really no free app that allows me to use it,and the cost of downloading and subscribing to this app is too high,which is often not somethings a stundents like me can afford,it is particularly important that although you can find any accessible country in the connection list after subscribing to this vpn,not every ocuntry can be conencted,south american countries such as argentina often cannot make us normal,if it is possinle to access the access speed will be very slow,to waif for a web page to load,we may need to waif or a few minutes,we have to go through this procees very times we visit,which is obviously not suitable for is,not a mention downloading and watching some videos,this is something i didn’t even think about,because i knew it couldn’t be done well.

I get this VPN free with Dashlane. As a free throw in it has been terrific. I have no desire to buy another product. I'm giving it 4 stars since I'm assuming you are considering it as a purchased option rather than as an included where I would have given it 5 stars. It has servers all over the world. Once connected to them the stream through Hotspot's internal network is fast, I've noticed 0 speed problems from their servers even when doing streaming video at high resolution over 200 mb/s consistiently. I've used it repeatedly to shift geography when needed. USA servers I think are overcrowded ironically so oddly I sometimes end up using foreign even when I don't otherwise need it. I'll also note that multiple sites do know Hotspot's IPs and create problems. A rotating IP option / relay or something would be nice for those sites.
