AmpliTube Acoustic is a complete mobile tone studio for acoustic instruments. Powered by AmpliTube , it lets you practice, play and record with a collection of acoustic-centric virtual gear that offers world-class tone and sonic sculpting flexibility anytime and everywhere.
Build your own custom rig with up to 6 stompbox FX and an amp. You can even drag and drop your stomps to sit before or after your amplifier (4 slots pre and 2 slots post).
Designed for use with IK's iRig Acoustic mobile acoustic instrument interface, it provides plug-and-play sound thanks to a built-in calibration system that sculpts iRig Acoustic's EQ response to suit your particular guitar. With the two combined, you can get studio-grade condenser microphone sound from an interface that slips easily into your pocket.
AmpliTube Acoustic gives you 6 creative stomp box effects and 3 amazing amps all tailored for acoustic instruments. Turn your acoustic into a jangling 12 string with the "12 String" simulator, add some low-end with the "Bass Maker" or even change your guitar's body with the "Body Modeler." Feed your signal through solid state or tube amps and graphic EQs to get just the sound you want. Use "Feed Kill" to eliminate feedback instantly with just a tap.
You'll be floored by the sound quality. AmpliTube Acoustic uses the same tone technology as the acclaimed AmpliTube 4 Custom Shop for Mac/PC. You'll hear the difference and understand why AmpliTube is an essential for so many professional musicians and recording studios.
Like to loop? You can get creative with the new Super Looper. It makes it easy to record, play back, adjust levels and play along with up to 4 loops. (Looper feature is available for in-app purchase.)
Need a drummer? Use the included Loop Drummer to jam to killer drum tracks. Make your own patterns or let it create some inspiring drums for you. Get more loops via in-app Style Packs.
Use the new 2-track recorder to record over backing tracks, or expand the studio section (available via in-app purchase) to record, edit and share your compositions via SoundCloud, FTP, file sharing or email.
Ready to perform? Live Mode offers an optimized GUI specifically for live use. See your entire chain at a glance, with all the settings and controls you need in an easy-to-read format designed for the stage.
Control your virtual rig just as easily as you would a traditional pedalboard with new iRig Stomp I/O integration, so you can change presets, control effects and more right from your feet. Or go wireless with iRig Blueboard, a Bluetooth controller for basic control on the go.
Now you can get a taste of the first complete mobile tone studio for acoustic instruments!

Ratings and Reviews
Concurrently I procured the paid version of iRig Amplitube Acoustic & JamUp Pro with Bias. I also examined each 8-track recorder.
I had two iRig Acoustic pickups for my pupless axes (particularly world instruments), one for ios & one included in my Stage rig. For five months I ascertained through playing & recording which I preferred, them bought a second ios pickup. I contrived a simple converter cable to conform the headphone output to a guitar amp input (a major forum topic). In addition, I procured the iRig2 for pup-equipped instruments.
My iRig priority is not set in stone, & I can easily meander through all systems to create my sick style of music. After months of fine tuning, I surmised that iRig ios is conducive to my current intentions, & bought the in-app 8-track recorder.
I won't itemize the attributes which lead me to an iRig ios preference (sidetracking Stage), & shall spare details about the iRig multitrack recorder ($4x more than JamUp's).
Nevertheless, the app's acoustic emphasis, presets, & functionality of the recorder (eg timeline & wav files), at the moment seem to put me in a creative Aura anywhere, anytime, & can tweak the tunes in Reason when I return to Earth.

IK slow on fixes
I use this app live with a Taylor guitar and, until recently, it worked very well. However, with the last update, I discovered the FX section of two of the amps is malfunctioning, stuck on delay no matter how you set it. I was using the chorus setting to fatten up my guitar and add some nice lush. Now all I get is delay slap back and it’s pretty annoying. I let IK know about this a few months back and they said they were aware of it and would fix it in an update “soon”. I’m thinking if customers have shelled out cash for my product and it is malfunctioning, I get on it and fix it pronto but, alas, IK does not think like that and is content to let their customers be unhappy with a broken product until they’re ready for some future update. I’m on stage 3-5 nights a week and it’s so frustrating not to be able to have your rig performing @ 100%. So, 3 stars for the slow response to a known problem affecting end users. Very nice app when it isn’t malfunctioning.
AmpliTube acoustic DAW
Although the DAW looks identical to the paid version on AmpliTube, for some stupid and undefined reason, AmpliTube Acoustic does not support simultaneous multi track recording us iRig Pro duo. AmpliTube Acoustic only supports single track recording, very inexcusable.
On a separate issue, IK Multimedia is way behind the times on file management. With the recent release of ITunes 12.7, managing recorded music is now a huge problem. I could but do not use SoundCloud as it does not suit me. I could email myself but this is a clumsy process. I have tried to get ITunes 12.6.3 working (not very well). The latest release of GarageBand supports the IOS 11 file management process and this seems reasonable.
By the way, I am an acoustic guitar player and the amps and stomps etc is very impressive, my acoustic recording of voice and guitar are all that I really need. I have never had any issues with any IK Multimedia products as they have always worked as advertised. Thank you.
