Easy to use & it’s a free app
Easy to use and it’s a free app. I understand nothing is for free (they sell our info to 3rd parties) yet those 3rd parties, ie... banks, credit card companies already have our info so no harm to fowl. I just want to see my score when I want since we are using the snowball method of paying off our debt, this app lets me see the positive benefits of paying it down, highest interest rate card first is the plan. After the subprime market crash we relied too heavily on cards to keep our business afloat. We didn't lose our home, business is intact yet credit card debt needs to be addressed head on. We have tons of home equity yet with such a high income to debt ratio & both of us Independent contractors we cant qualify for a refi & cant get zero interest transfer cards to approve us, frustrating. YET. I do wish I could see all three credit scores which is a extra cost but not paying for anything we don't need until we can refi. Its a catch 22 situation but happy this app is available. I say try it!
Hate new/this app
I have used Experian’s mobile credit app for 5+ years and paying for the monthly subscription. Suddenly the app just stopped working and come to find out they put out this new one. I tried this new one and it’s awful. It’s totally redesigned and selling all kinds of new stuff. The interface is discombobulated and not simple. Only way to view the old stuff is use a browser that doesn’t work great on mobile devices. I just cancelled my subscription as I don’t want this new app and hate the browser version. I’ll be purchasing a differed credit application. I’m really bummed as I really enjoyed the previous app and sad I can no longer use it as Experian deleted it from the App Store and made it not work for those that already had it installed. I’m sure it’s not the developers faults; I’m betting it was a bunch of higher ups that chose these in app purchases all over the place over catering to a smoother transition for their long time clients. Well...good luck to those higher ups, you’ve lost me but maybe you’ll get a whole bunch of brand new clients, hopefully they are as loyal as I was and hopefully you take care of them better than you did your long time subscribers. I still love your developers as they has such an amazing app for so long and sorry they made you make so many changes that cut off my long time use of your previous beautiful and easy to use app.
Horrible customer service!!
I called the fraud dept number listed regarding hard inquiries from someone applying for credit cards/credit in my name and it being put on my credit report multiple times even after I have a fraud alert. Well, when I called, they said the wait is 15 minutes. I waited on hold 40 minutes while being subjected to the same recording over and over about signing up with their fraud protection service. The lady said she could not help me and would have to transfer me to the fraud dept. I said I do not want to be on hold again for another 40 min. She said it would be only 15 minutes. Finally, when the lady came on phone after 22 minutes, she said sorry we wre closed. I said I had been waiting an hour and the previous lady or your message said nothing about about being closed after waiting so long. The lady did not even care. She said she would have to take number and call me back tomorrow. Very disappointed with a credit bureau who allows any credit to post false info to your report without requiring definite proof that it is really you. How is ths allowed? I already had a credit alert. Then it takes so much time to get this resolved. There should be stricter rules on creditors reporting to someone's credit file.
