Summary
2017 A.D.
Chaldea, an organization tasked with observing Earth's future, has confirmed that human history will be eliminated at 2019.
Without warning, the promised future of 2017 disappeared.
Why? How? Who? By what means?
AD. 2004. A certain provincial town in Japan.
For the first time ever, a region that could not be observed appeared.
Assuming that this was the cause of humanity’s extinction, Chaldea carried out its sixth experiment - time travel into the past.
A forbidden ceremony where they would convert humans into Spiritrons and send them back in time. By intervening in events, they would locate, identify, and destroy the space-time Singularities.
The mission classification is an order to protect Humanity: Grand Order.
This is the title for those who would take a stand against human history and battle fate in order to protect mankind.

Game has a bunch of archaic systems and really terrible rates. Firstly let's get this out of the way, it is a basic turnbased rpg, nothing fancy, not good or bad, perfectly serviceable. I treat this game more like a novel while turning my brain off for the majority of content. The game doesnt expect you to collect everything nor does it make every high rarity unit good. The game is VERY stingy with currency too, i will not defend this. Fortunately it is f2p friendly enough as 98% of the game is objectively proven to be able to be cleared by low rarity and free units as long as you build smart. You can borrow a friend's support unit so you dont need to fret too much if you need to borrow an overpowered unit. The game shines in the story and characters which is how they make you roll for mediocre units against your better judgment. The game actually does expect you to play so there is no auto battle and you actually have to clear the story enough to be able to participate in these monotonously long events. Thankfully you can borrow friend units and they give you handicap abilities to use if you cant clear it with confidence.I give it 4 stars because the game is purely a mobile game; a game that wants you to play for brief intervals at most due to a stamina system so you cant no life it. Reason 2 is because the game is easy and you dont need every new shiny (mediocre) unit. If you have self control and do not expect to get everything with a good story attached then go for it.
The Gotcha is fine, completely F2P

After seeing many of the reviews, I just couldn’t hold my tongue anymore: this is the first time I feel obligated to write a review. Why do people complain about the gotcha? It is all luck, and you can easily save up to 300+ sq for rolls within a few months. In fact, I got two of my most favorite characters through 2 single pulls. For those who said that you can’t get good gold servants, I would like to ask what about the event free gold servants? NP level 5 and completely free and many of which are extremely powerful and popular characters. Even low stars characters have their charm! Every character in this game is carefully crafted and all provide their own value to the game: if you only love a character for their rarity, then you are definitely not playing this game right. You can’t get the servant you want easily? That’s the point: when you roll for someone it actually have sentiment. I have spent more than 400+ sq for a single copy of Abigail Williams, which I have saved for many months. Getting her means a lot to me, much more than any other gotcha games where they basically hand you free gold characters. So what? Do you really expect to get every character you see with every new banner? You just throw in a couple of rolls and cry about how you can’t get the servant you want? Grow up! If you are a player who comes in and expect free servants and free rolls all the time and couldn’t care less about the stories or the characters, then you are in the wrong place. This is not some game that rewards you for doing nothing.

For anyone it concerns, you can reach out to customer support and they can help get you your account back, speaking from personal experience. Drop rates can be hit/miss so if that’s your only reason for playing, you probably won’t like it here. The story is pretty entertaining especially compared to other gachas that primarily aim to cultivate gambling addictions and you have to be into that in order to enjoy the game. Some fights can be pretty hard to get done, but aside from challenge quests(which I haven’t seen in a while) you can still get by with story servants and friend servants(it’ll still be painstaking). All in all, it’s a game for FATE fans. You gotta want to play it lol. I also would recommend not buying SQ’s unless it’s for one of the guaranteed summons(unless of course you have the money to spare). Now is a pretty good time to get into it because you don’t have to wait for the story to come out, most of it is already done, so you can just play through. It can be pretty grindy if you really want to max everyone out but it’s not mandatory, I only go to those lengths for my favorites. For the best cost:performance ratio get skills to level 6 and NP’s to no more than 2/3. Also take advantage of those low star units, they can be really good. Nearly every premium unit has a free low star version that’s a lot easier to max out, and usually has a much higher NP gain rate.
FGO is great for bored anime fans.

Fate/Grand Order is overall a fun and rewarding game for RPG fans. The story is decent and Fate’s huge cast of historical and mythological characters are almost all like-able and fun. I’d love to go drinking with Astolfo, or play video games with Medusa. It can be a little boring at times if you’ve nothing to do but daily missions, but I find I always come back to it when new content is released. The gacha is stingey with 4 and 5 star servants, but the result is that you treasure your favorite team members all the more; you have a unique team that you assembled, and no one else is likely to play the game exactly like you as a result. You can put your best people on your support squad and show them off to other players who will be able to summon them for help in the story/free play. I find other people love to use my level 85 Hercules for difficult boss fights, or my level 62 Siegfried if they have to face down some dragons. It feels good to know that other people out there value my servants enough to call on them for help. The game is free, so you have nothing to lose. Give it a shot if it’s your kind of game and you may find yourself spending a little downtime every day leveling up your servants like I do. Just don’t expect to see many five star servants show up. After a full year of playing, my only 5 star servant is the archer class “Nikola Tesla.” But again, as a result, Tesla is all the more special to me for this exact reason, knowing so few others out there have him on their team. 4 stars.
