Workspaces is a great app for people who work on multiple projects. Especially for designers, programmers, project managers, students and teachers. And probably for you.
Each project we work on consists of bunch of resources like files, folders, applications, websites, important e-mails. They are located at different places on your computer. And you need to look for them every time. That causes lots of distraction, time wasting and finally being tired of additional thinking and procrastination.
The key feature of Workspaces is remembering all that resources and launching them quickly.
Just click on the menu bar icon and momentary you'll see all the stuff you need for your work. You can open them individually or by clicking START button which opens the ones with purple dot.
Editing your workspaces (that's how we call a project) is really easy. Just click Edit button and you'll see the editor window. All you need is to drag and drop your resources or click + button to add them manually. You can choose which ones will be run when you click START Button.
There are also some advance features. Workspaces allows to set application which runs a resource, so you can open one website in different web browsers. The same way you can choose an application that will open your folders or documents. You can also open Terminal in specified folder.
Workspaces 1.5 is focused on continuing user interface enhancing, so the app becomes more intuitive, simple and clean.
- new introduction video for new users
- redesigned Preferences
- editor interface enhancements
- browser interface enhancements
- minor improvements

Great idea, decent execution
I bought this during the black friday half off sale ($4) and think it is a decent deal if the developer continues to add features and fix some of the bugs. Until it becomes a bit more feature rich, I wouldn’t necessarily pay the full price
1. When opening the workspace app window, no other app can take focus from it. ie: you click on another app and the window does not come on top of the workspace app. You must click exit for it to go away
2. Needs a way to run terminal commands (ex: start docker container, stop mysql, etc.). This feature alone would bump it to 5 stars for me and would make it worth the full price.
3. A way to close all of the windows open in a workspace (ie shutdown workspace)
4. And a few more mentioned from othe reviews.
Developer Response ,
Thanks for your feedback!
1. Check out: Preferences -> Editor -> Keep window always on top
2 and 3: Unfortunately it's impossible due to sandbox policy

Useful and well-executed app
This app does what it says on the tin, and does it well. It is particularly well-suited to GUI-specific apps, and though the setup process for each space/project can be a bit fussy, the effort involved is far less than what would be required for manual opening every item for each work session. It is unfortunate that due to apparent sandbox limitations the app prevent more complicated settings command-line and non-gui apps. But, its included functionality and the developer’s responsiveness make it more than worth the modest price.
Useful Tool But it Needs to Close Apps as Well
It's a good tool. Nice interface and delivers on what it says. However, I find myself not using it because it doesn't close apps that are open from another workspace. I don't understand why this feature is not added - it's not diffcult to add (I'm a programmer too). This would make the product complete and I would certainly then give it 5 stars.

Steve, we would love to add this feature but its impossible within the App Sandbox (application may close only apps which it primarily launched, so it would be an incomplete feature.)
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
