GREAT for visual people

i set my own work schedules, and this app is incredibly helpful for planning my day and keeping me on track. dragging is very intuitive, and the ring system being colour-coded (and you can customize the colours!) means i can easily see my entire schedule and exactly what i need to do next from a glance across the room. id love for a few different chime options, and the ability to customize the chime for the end of each task like you can the colours. that would make this app absolutely perfect for me.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your review. This means a lot for me as a developer. And motivates me to keep going and add more features to the app. It was really interesting to read about the way you use my app. I'm happy you appreciate the look and feel of the app. As a visual person too I put a particular effort in it to be visually pleasant. Hope you will love an ongoing update I'm working on right now with more colours and a dark mode.
As for the chimes, this feature is on my todo list (maybe it sits there for too long, though).
I will definitely come back to this after implementing some ideas which I hope you will like too. Feel free to follow @ringtimerapp on instagram for news and support.

I really like the interface and look of this app, it has a ton of promise. The biggest issue I have is with trying to get the tiny sliders at the right points. I’d like to have a text based option as well as the graphical interface so I can do something like.....8 hours with 5 minute breaks every 30 minutes....without having to drag 16 separate sliders to the exactly right points. Or at least a way to duplicate an existing segment. Setting up these with sliders is really impractical and time consuming. Also there don’t seem to be alert tone options. For $4 I expected a lot more customization and ease of use.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for reviewing and for appreciating the look of our app. We are very sorry that the application does not exactly meet your expectations. While we believe that the idea of using sliders instead of text inputs would be easy to use and would fit most user needs, your review says that there is still a place for improvements.
While it's still possible to create the mentioned 8 hours intervals setup in a reasonable amount of time (it took us one or two minutes), we are deeply sorry you found this way impractical.
Admitting some complexity of the app's interface, would it be appropriate to suggest you set up one timer with two intervals (25 and 5 minutes) and run it several times, as a quick solution in your particular case?
We are constantly working on how to improve the creation of intervals, while not disrupting the clear look and feel of the app, which you have appreciated.
Your idea of adding a text based option for precise setup is definitely worth to notice.

As for the alert tone option. If you mean selecting a different sounds for different intervals, we have this option in our roadmap for future versions.

Stay with us and you will see that our app is worth your $4 :)
