Chronicle Pro - Bills & Income 4+

This app is wonderful! I love the icons and the great organizational features. The calendar, and the income in, bills this month, and what's left to spend calculator, too! Cross-platform also is a huge plus! The only downside is the income calculations either don't work very well (inaccurate calculations), or I am just not entering it correctly? Figured it shouldn't be too difficult though. I use the New Income button to add my income on a monthly paycheck basis just to make it easier. But I love everything else about this app so much, I am going to keep trying to figure out the minor income issue as described. Definitley recommend though! :)

I wrote the review below and still stand by what I wrote about Chronicle previously. I would be lost concerning keeping track of my bills. I still own two houses and Chronicle Pro helps me keep all my bills paid on time. The reminders work great and being able to see the history of each bill is a real help for planning and projecting what seasonal bills will look like. My wife oftern asks what bill is due, or if we paid such and such and I can be anywhere that I can connect to the Internet to tell her the status of a bill. Chronicle Pro is a great time saving utility and one that I rely upon almost daily.

I have been using Chronicle in some form or another for the past five years and I am completely satisified with the application. Since 2002 I owned three houses over two Western states. For years the only way I could keep track of my bills was by using a spreadsheet and hardcopy of bills as receipts that I had devised for tracking purposes. In 2014 I saw a review of Chronicle in Macworld and decided to give it a try. I loaded it to all my Apple devices so I could track the more than 30 bills and payments that came due each month from any device and in any state. Chronicle has certainly made my bill tracking much easier. I would recommend Chronicle to anyone needing a straight forward tracking program for their bills.

Purchased version 8 to use on my iMac (High Sierra) and I’ve had a problem every time I go to edit a bill. The program corrupts and the window fails to load. I have to replace/rename the database file with the icloud synced version to get my data back. I discovered that after days of testing, since I never got any actual help from customer service. I sent them my crash logs but I guess it was too much trouble for them to solve the problem. So, once again I tried to edit a recurring date, and the same thing. Reloaded the file from the icloud version to get the app functioning again, but clearly I can’t edit any existing bills. In the early days of the app, customer support was great, very fast response and efficient. This last time, though, it was a couple weeks and I still never received a resolution. Guess I will not be able to edit my bills. When I try to edit them on my iphone app, the app crashes every time. Now looking for a new program and very sorry I updated to version 8.
