Two thumbs up!!

Very engaging! The storyline was complex and well thought out. Loved it!

Could have been executed better

I loved the idea of this game, and the allusions to literary mystery classics, but it has some serious flaws.

*Spoilers*

First, the game opens by asking you to allow it to log keystrokes in other apps. Seriously? I'm going to let an app log the passwords I'm entering? Big red flag.

Early in the game you meet NPCs on a train who you can talk to. One of the NPCs disappears after you meet him and is nowhere to be found for a while. There are two sleeper compartments on the train - none for your PC, none for a wealthy NPC, her companion, and the companion's son. You collect several inventory items in pursuit of picking the lock to a door, and while IRL you have multiple items that could be used to open the door, only a particular one will work. My point is that in a detective game where you are noticing clues that will solve the mystery, it is difficult to know which things you observe are meant to be a clue and which are just mistakes in game design. Does the rich lady have no sleeper compartment for a reason? It means something that one NPC is nowhere to be found; if another is also nowhere, is that significant?

Another problem is that a very annoying obstacle -- having to light a match every few seconds to see enough to navigate and solve problems -- is introduced before the player is really engaged and hooked on the story. I'm at that point now and it's irritating enough that I may quit because I'm not intrigued enough by the game to make it worth the annoyance of this scene.
