Candide Labels uses your phone's camera to identify all the wonderful plants around you. And once the app's got a match, it's easy to add a label.

Whenever you come back, the label will be exactly where you left it. Whether you identify other plants straight away, add more labels the next day or don't look at the app for a month, your labels will still be there.

They'll tell you all about your plants and how to look after them, as well as any common problems to look out for. So when you're with your plants, the gardening knowledge you need will always be at your fingertips.

Candide Labels has a sister app called Candide Gardening, where you can discover amazing gardens near you, share what's happening in your garden, find inspiration and learn from top gardening pros.

Could be a lot more useful

When the app isn't totally sure about something, it can take forever to search, and fail to suggest the right thing. In cases where I'm direct planting seeds, there isn't even anything to take a picture of to make suggestions

I wish there was a way for me to basically use this app as virtual garden stakes, where I can place labels around, manually identify my plants, and only optionally link it to a database

Fun but limited. Great potential though.

This is a good application. If you could set up shared locations like a public garden where the labels are managed by the Horticulturists working the garden would make this application ever better.

I like the idea of AR labels of my garden but app gets in the way

When I use the AI to try to detect a plant where I know what kind of plant it is, the results I get back are wildly inaccurate.

That doesn’t matter a ton to me; I’d rather just use the tool to have AR labels of all the different varieties of plants in my garden so I can keep track, but it doesn’t let me do custom labeling very well. If I have a variety of tomato it doesn’t have a name for in its database, I can’t make my own custom label for it.
