Playset is an intuitive drum and synth sequencer, designed for instant fun and live music.
Start with the drums. Add a sneaky bass line, dress it with a fat lead and you've got your song.
Adjust the mix, light on the FXs, add a few patterns to the timeline and your song is a hit!
Want to connect? Playset supports MIDI, Audiobus, Ableton Link, and is also available as an Audio Unit plug-in.
Finally, once your song is done, you can export it in order to share it with the world.
One more thing: Playset is brought to you by the team behind DM1 (Apple Design Award winner 2012). So if you liked DM1, you’re going to love Playset!
Playset is a premium app, which means that once you’ve bought it, it is entirely yours to use: no in-app purchases or adds!

I just started using this twenty minutes ago and I am having a lot of fun. I just hope it goes a little deeper. Dig Fingerlab apps!
I do wish we could import samples or edit the synth patches.
It is fun but it needs a bit more depth. I guess the primary word is fun.
Hmmm... Who is it for?
Crashes repeatedly when other apps are running in a background!
No polyphony for Bass and Lead tracks.
No MIDI out.
Nice interface, clean and well laid out. Super straight forward and intuitive to use. The app could be a decent notepad of ideas, unfortunately I think that’s pretty much it.
There’s a bug where some kits skip some of the notes, but only at some specific BMPs. For example, if you select Soliles kit, at 90 MBP some steps are simply ignored, but play fine at other BMP’s.
Rather uninspiring instruments / drum kits, can’t load your own samples.
I have a difficulty figuring out who this app is really for. It does not have enough capabilities to be used by a serious musician and is perhaps too minimalistic and dry to inspire an enthusiast. Maybe it’s for kids? As such, it could be pretty good as it is very intuitive and does not have flashy things which are a distraction to kids.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
