LindseyCFL ,

exactly what I was looking for!

I have a memory loss condition and constantly feel like I'm chasing my own tail, trying to remember what I've done and where I've been. Journaling is massively helpful but it can be so tedious trying to get it all down on paper and then still having everything in so many different places. Between the calendar features, customizable templates, social media and cloud syncing, and the multitude of tagging and search capabilities, it is everything I needed. ideas for improvements: I would love a view option for "focus mode" where the only thing on my screen is the writing part. The extra features are AWESOME but being able to see them all the time while I'm writing (and so colorfully) can be a bit distracting for me. Additionally, I use Apple Activity and an apple watch for my step tracking. That would be amazing to see if possible. I'm not sure how to access that through Fitbit unless I can get the Apple watch to sync there? Haven't tried but that's all I've got!

Thanks a lot for your positive feedback and your suggestions. I will consider a focus mode for a future update. I would love to incorporate Apple Health data but Apple only allows access to that data for "Health apps". It could be possible to sync the data to Fitbit and then connect to that in Diarium though

I am in the process of studying, assimilating, and practicing Stoicism. One of the suggestions is that a diary be kept with certain questions answered on a daily basis. The idea is to be able to objectively look at yourself, your emotions, and general outlook towards yourself and others. Diarium makes it very easy to do this. I created my own journa with questions and this is having a huge impact on my life.

I looked at and downloaded a couple of other journals and ended up deleting them. This did not happen with Diarium and I have decided that it is the Journal for me.

I highly recommend this Journal for its ease of creating what is important to you, its ease of writing and looking back.

Decent Application that gets the job done (without paying for subscription).

For a one-time payment application, this app packs a lot of punch. It feels pretty barebones in terms of design and even though the screenshots are pretty, using it on a day-to-day basis leaves a nagging feeling of something being missing. Sync works, however, it's not perfect. Make sure to manually press sync after you've finished writing a journal and you will avoid this issue. It's not a big deal but things like these do make you feel like you're working in a slightly limited app. If beautiful design is not a necessity for you to stick around, and you just want to get the job done at a decent price, I would recommend this app. I like pretty design, but cost is a bigger consideration for me, so I'm sticking with this app.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for your review and very good feedback! The app is only ~1 month old at this point and I am still trying to make the app look nicer. With the next app update the tags/events/images will have rounded corners which make them look more pleasing compared to the sharp edges. If you have specific ideas how to improve the UI, please let me know - I am not a designer by any means and I am always welcoming feedback & suggestions :)
I would love to investigate and fix the sync issue - would it be possible to write me a short mail and let me know if you made any changes on the iPhone on that day that later overwrote the one on the macOS side? I was not able to reproduce the problem based on your description. When I tried to open the app on both devices and created an entry on both of them, syncing didn't remove either.
