Description

Lightmatic is a light meter designed for film photography.

The main component of the app is a classic light meter with three modes: time, aperture and film speed priority. You can choose between ISO, ASA and DIN film speed systems. Exposure compensation from -3 to +3 EV is supported. Overall, the Lightmatic light meter is a simple, precise, robust tool for everyday use.

Lightmatic also includes a pinhole light meter with an integrated timer supporting exposure times of up to several hours. It supports custom camera and film profiles. Film profiles can be defined using the reciprocity factor or exposure table.

Last but not least, the app includes a handy manual flash calculator, allowing you to shoot great film pictures using the flash.

Great for pinhole!

Hello. I’ve been using your app now for about a month through two DIY pinhole cameras. I’ve used Lightmatic in parallel with the Lux meter app with my additional manual calculation and found Lightmatic to be quite accurate exposing over 100, 200 and 400 iso 4x5 sheet films. Glad to find your app!

Perfect pocket light meter

Thank you so much for making this tool available! I’ve been using it with a vintage TLR camera and have gotten accurate exposures. I also got some use when my 35mm SLR’s meter battery died.

Great for analogue photographers

I am just recently getting back into film photography. This app is so useful. I don’t always carry my old meters with me and this app allows me some flexibility when shooting that I otherwise wouldn’t have. Highly recommend.
