OK Play helps make it easy for parents to spend quality time with their children that is fun, but also enriching. Through interactive activities, play prompts, and conversation sparks, OK Play helps families establish a daily routine of playing and bonding together. Activities are designed by child development experts to support children’s social and emotional growth, resulting in screen-time that parents can feel good about.

“OK Play is an engaging app that is backed by science, which parents will find useful in helping their children learn social and emotional strategies to deal with the situations they encounter every day.” -- Connie Kasari, PhD, Distinguished Professor, Human & Development Psychology, UCLA

“My son absolutely loves this app! He’s constantly wanting to play with it. It gets you moving and bonding together while learning to explore feelings. He’s doing a lot better being kind to his brother and understanding what he does that’s mean.” -- Jamie, Parent of a 3 year old

“There are so many activities for your child to play, learn and enjoy. They will never get bored and you will have some peace. My daughters have learned about emotions, creating their own stories and more. This app has had us playing together, being silly and wishing the time wouldn’t end. OK Play has truly become a part of our lives” -- Tenesha, Parent of a 3 and 6 year old

Interactive activities designed to ignite a child’s imagination and give families the power to create and share, including:
- Going on a scavenger hunt for emotions
- Filming a cooking show
- Solving a dance-related emergency

Using play as a learning tool, programs help navigate the ups and downs of family life by offering a shared language to talk about the hard things, such as:
- Getting along with others
- Solving difficult conflicts
- Regulating and expressing emotions
- Sharing
- Focusing and following directions

Each activity results in a personalized video that can be saved to a device or securely stored within the Moments section of OK Play for parents to revisit at any time or share with friends and family.

Our science-based activities are designed to encourage social and emotional growth through play to help build children’s empathy and kindness. Research shows that having a solid foundation in these areas during the preschool years sets the stage for later success, in school and in life.

A new selection of free featured activities is available every day, making it easy and fun to create a daily practice of play.

- Spreading kindness
- Happy 101
- In someone else’s shoes
- My emotions now
- Turn-taking
- Anger 101

Absolutely Fantastic

I am so thrilled about this app. My daughter is 2.5 years old and is so excited about it! Her favorite are the drawing activities, and she loves sharing them and following along. I’ve never seen her be so engaged in an app. We are excited every morning to see what’s new for our day, and we like to space them out. I let her choose what’s first on our list, and we go from there. I am so grateful for this app that lets myself and my husband play along side her and really be apart of her play when she’s using screen time. 1,000 stars if I could give it that! You won’t regret it. It’s like if ABC Mouse had a more interactive and inclusive sibling we didn’t know about. YAY OK PLAY!

Learning Kindness

OK Play has brought joy and hope into my life. When so much early childhood apps focus on math and languages and jump-starting “genius,” OK Play is all about you and your children learning to love all your emotions — giving you the space to be OK with them so that you don’t have to be owned by them. It teaches empathy by walking through the challenges kids face everyday in a fun and researched way, and offering things you can do right now to practice kindness.

All of the activities are designed for parents and children to experience together. This is not an app that tells kids to “go away” and entertain themselves. So there is an expectation for parent participation. But the collaboration is so well communicated and fun that you’ll find this is easy, fun, and high quality time spent with your child.

The content is produced at a high level, which is surprising for how much there is, and how new content appears each day (free version) and week (subscription version).

I highly recommend this app!! Try it out!

Seen time!

Not screen time but seen time! This app is awesome for activity ideas and it really gets my son talking about his emotions. He starts talking to the characters and I’m learning all sorts of things about his feelings that I didn’t know. He also is learning to understand his emotions and when he’s not being so nice to others. I also don’t always have time to research what developmental activities would be fun engaging. This helps so much when I’m short on time but need a quick idea.
