Illuminate Adelaide presents Big Picture Series augmented reality artworks

Art, light, music and technology will combine when Adelaide’s newest winter event, Illuminate Adelaide premieres this July. Part of the inaugural program, City Lights is a free night-time trail of light featuring over 40 free installations, projections and immersive experiences.
From city blocks to country silos, the last decade has seen street art techniques and mural traditions scale new and exhilarating heights. In an expanding urban world, these towering art projects are an eye-catching way to splash colour and humanity into public spaces.
Celebrated Adelaide street artist Vans the Omega has assembled an international dream team of visual and conceptual artists for an augmented reality sculpture park in Light Square, including Askew One, Tom Borgas, Zoe Kirkwood and Dave Court. These four artists will give artists and audiences alike a chance to reinterpret and respond to the architecture and social fabric of urban spaces, and how we use, share and shape a sense of place. Join them in this interactive quest to re-discover the city.
