Perfect Rhythm Game!

This is all from my preferences of course but this really is the ideal rhythm game, and I keep thinking the game is gonna reveal itself as an expensive gacha trap, but it still hasn’t happened. First of all, the gameplay is crisp and taps are based on syllables and melody which always feels more involved than when the taps are based on beat alone. The song selection is great so far, and I was very surprised how easy it was to unlock new songs, as I’m used to rhythm games charging a lot for new song packs. Furthermore, even if you don’t have a song, multiplayer allows you to play songs other players bought by random chance. It’s really fun that there’s more involvement with characters too, giving you extra incentive for picking a favorite. All the extra non-game stuff like listening to character conversations and buying decorations is so cute and really makes the game feel like it’s own world. The interface is also beautiful and the loading is very fast and makes the game feel easy to pick up. I’m only starting but so far it’s not hard to get in-game currency. My only complaint is, as expected, the character designs and story are extremely generic, the same idol plot as usual and the different groups stories aren’t that different from each other, so the side stories give good rewards but are pretty boring to watch. Overall very cute intuitive rhythm game that’s accessible to anyone.

worst game

made me experience halloween in the middle of december. had the worst time of my life in the halloween virtual live rooms, i was yelling akito at the top of my lungs in hopes of glimpsing him during the live because he is so orange like a pumpkin and would’ve festive. but no. he was not there, nowhere to be seen. for your information for those who are reading reviews akito is one of the characters in the game he is a orange man and he reminds me very much of a pumpkin and pumpkin spice. one time, i went to starbucks and ordered a pumpkin spice latte back in october, and as i was drinking it, i had visions of akito sitting across from me at the table in my local starbucks. what a surprise! i never ordered the pumpkin spice latte again. back to topic, i really wish that if you were holding a halloween live in the middle of frosty, delightful december- that akito would be here to say hello like the pumpkin he is. when i think of december, i think of christmas and i think of snow. i hope that if there’s a christmas live, that toya would be there because he has frosty vibes. and since toya would be here that means it is likely that akito is lurking somewhere nearby, which grants me a higher chance at glimpsing that Pumpkin.

now i await, in my lofty abode, for akito to rear his orange head.

a deeper mobile rhythm game

i love this game a lot, the stories seem to have a lot more emotional depth than the average anime-ish rhythm game, which is what i crave from similar games. the only reason why i wouldn't give this 5 stars is completely technology based. the game crashes all the time. maybe multiple times while i'm trying to spend my energy. i actually came to rate the game after it crashed during a show where i was about to get a full combo ): the energy cap is also VERY low. you can't even get a full night's sleep before it replenishes, which takes about 6hr if i'm not mistaken. despite the game being so new in english, it already seems like earning gems is going be an issue. ive played the game for about a week & have already ran out of area convos and have every character on a mid-level ranking, which seemed to be a big source of gems. there is also some model clipping during live shows/awkward movement & posing, specifically with kohane's outfit, which lessens the live show emersion/experience. i also do wish there were more vocaloid included in the cast of virtual singers, especially because there seems to be higher ranked virtial singers compared to meiko & kaito (sorry meiko & kaito fans), but i understand the creator's/company's reasoning for choosing those two. despite these grievances, i dont plan on quitting the game any time soon but hope there's some optimization eventually!
