Troubled start but good ending

I bought this app some time ago and I got the lifetime- but a week later the app has gone through some refresh or update and I lose all feature and I though I got rip- so I got their Facebook through the app and I made my obvious anger about the situation and didn’t use the app for like 2-3 month but they Finally respond and all I needed to do was press the restore purchase and bam! Got my lifetime back… so I feel stupid but also a little frustrated how long it took to get a respond but I’m glad I didn’t payed for a second lifetime and I can use the app againz

Disconnects When Leaving the App & Expensive

I am a college student and I forgot my Xbox one controller at my parent’s house. When I went back to my dorm, I realized I left the controller and looked for a universal remote until I could my controller back. I couldn’t connect through the Xbox app for some reason so it was very frustrating until I found this app. I thought this universal remote would be PERFECT because it connects to my Xbox which is nearly impossible to find for a universal remote. It works, yes, but there are still issues that make it impossible to like nor want to pay for weekly. The biggest issue is that I have to keep the app open in order to use it. I can’t respond to message or email or do anything else on my phone because the minute I leave the app, the remote stops working. It’ll still be connected (it’ll say that it’s still connected) but none of the remote buttons will work. I think this app has potential, but it’s needs work still. Other apps are able to keep remotes connected regardless of if you leave the app. I don’t know if that’s a bug but it’s aggravating enough to make me regret purchasing it. The app should also be free in my opinion. I pay $6.49 per week (Approx $26 per month) when a universal remote is cheaper and guaranteed to work. Overall based on pricing and quality, I don’t recommend this app unless you need a temporary fix like I did.

App Update

I love using the Roku app, but since this latest update the update pop-up won’t go off my screen so I can’t use the app remote. It asks if I want to update or maybe later. When I hit the update it opens my app to update and I already updated, so it just gives the open option. If in the Roku app I hit maybe later, it does nothing, but the pop-up staying on my screen is preventing me from accessing my Roku app.

Always a dumb update

While some of the updates have been nice. It seems like this ap is ALWAYS updating and the updates always get messed up. So now the on my phone isn’t updating no matter how many times I try to. It also doesn’t let me click “maybe later” and use the remote.
Kinda defeats the purpose of this app when it doesn’t let you use the remote on the app. So you have to dig up your old physical remote in the abyss of your couch because the app won’t work.

I wish they’d just design a nice remote and leave the updates alone. Or limit how many times they update it within a time period of 6 months or something. Because this is frustrating.

Payment

I had lost my remote and remembered about the app and decided to redownload it, in the past usage of the app it was complete free. With this being said I was still under the impression that it was still free since there way no other labels saying otherwise. Once getting my tv connected I clicked on the arrow button to scroll as I did the same thing in the past. No matter what buttons I push there seems to be no way around having to make a monthly payment. If the app is not going to be free for use then there should be a better recognition of the matter. I’m extremely disappointed that I not only did I lose my remote, but my alternate is no longer free.

Waste of my time.

I got this bc my tv is a Roku tv and i can’t find the remote atm, most of the Roku apps on the App Store are free and easy to use, when I got this one, I was a little confused on why it had “in app purchases” but most apps have that anyways, I downloaded the app and opened it to use it, connected it to my tv, and as soon as it connected, it popped up with “pay to use” or “use a free trial”. So you download it to pay for it then you can use it? It is really cool that it doesn’t haft to be a Roku tv to use to app, like you can have a Vizio tv and this app would work…if you pay for it.

Awesome for a free universal remote!

My family is always losing remotes so we downloaded this app for our smart lg TV. I use it to power it on and volume up and volume down when they lose the remote. They get so mad that I always have access. It does have a lot of ads but I don’t mind because I’m only using it secondary when my kids usually hide the remote in the couch or a random toy bin. It connects via Bluetooth very easily to my iPhone

Worthless Scam

The ad says 3–day trial then yearly subscription. Don’t fall for it like I did. I saw on my bill within 5 minutes that there was a pending charge. I couldn’t get the remote to work on my TV. I didn’t use it for a single function. I messaged them immediately and they said they would “review” my case. My card was charged within 30 minutes of the messaging and they never so much as acknowledged why my review failed. The subscription I don’t want is scheduled to end the exactly one year from the day of first contact. The 3-day trial is even a lie. Don’t waste your money, find a legitimate option (this isn’t it).

Unable to use app

I get a pop-up for a new update with options to “update now” or “later”, however later isn’t really an option. The pop-up window just pops right back up. To make things more frustrating, there isn’t an update available. I have the latest version. So I cannot use the app at all. Please get a handle on your pop-up message. If “later” isn’t actually an option, remove it from your messaging. Provide an update so I can get around the pop-up or disable it please!!

Are you actually kidding me?

I downloaded this cause it was the first thing that came up when I was trying to pause my tv, but lost the remote. I downloaded it and it worked perfectly to connect, I pressed the button and it paused the tv fine. Used it to unpause, still fine. When I tried to pause again it kept giving me premium advertisements, I was like, “ no. I wanna pause my tv bru. “ I keep trying and getting more advertisements, and I realized, You can’t use it without premium. Seriously? Premium to use a basic remote? After I place this review I am deleting this useless app.
