Potential
Worked as advertised. Ridiculously easy setup of homebridge vs setup on Mac. Had this up and running in under 2 minutes. Biggest drawback: as stated clearly in the app, needs to be in foreground. Otherwise, accessories show up as “no response” in Home app. Worked as well with split screen mode with home app as 2nd app. Get this working in background, I’ll give 4th star. Add a few more accessories, that’ll add the 5th. For the record, I set this up with old Chamberlain myQ internet bridge.
Works as advertised
It works for the plugins I’ve tried and runs fine on an old iOS device. More plugins are supported on a full homebridge installation, however for an iOS app this is already great. I can ask my HomePod to turn on the nest thermostat with ease.
