What’s New

Version 9.0.5

Torchlight’s all-new season "The Frozen Canvas" is now online!

New Season Mechanic: The Frozen Canvas

Dive into "The Frozen Canvas," where Hunters gather snowpaper fragments in the Netherrealm. Choose your difficulty and use fragments to reveal the canvas. Then, venture into Netherrealm stages to defeat monsters and collect paints.

Once you complete your own masterpiece, enter your own custom map in The Frozen Canvas to challenge monsters and custom tailored rewards.

New Hero Trait - Tide Whisperer Selena

Selena brings unmatched versatility to the battlefield with her ability to switch between Bard and Loud Song forms. Bard Mode: In Bard mode, Selena can envelop her skills in foam. When the foam touches an enemy, it bursts, automatically triggering the skill. Additionally, she can summon tides along her path of movement, increasing her damage output while allowing her to ignore enemy collisions within the tide. Loud Song Mode: In Loud Song mode, Selena sacrifices movement speed, attack speed, and cast speed for a significant boost in damage. This form is perfect for when you need to unleash a powerful offensive.

Skill System - Skill Advancement

We've introduced a range of exclusive support skills designed for the majority of active skills. Hunters can now equip these exclusive support skills in slots 3 and 5 of the skill support slots. These enhancements not only boost skill damage but also alter skill forms, creating unexpected and extraordinary effects that significantly enrich the combat experience. Exclusive support skills aren't acquired through traditional means or combat experience. Instead, they require the consumption of rare materials—Inspiration Essence—and leveling up with skills of the same name. Hunters can obtain exclusive support skills and Inspiration Essence through The Frozen Canvas gameplay, enabling the construction of more robust, diverse, and imaginative builds.

Hero Traits Rework

Simplified Hero Traits: We've completely redesigned all Hero Traits to make them more straightforward and easier to understand.

Hero Relic and Hero Memories Rework: We've removed Hero Relics and reworked Hero Memories to better align with player expectations.

Crafting System Overhaul

In response to valuable player feedback, we've made sweeping changes to the crafting system that will profoundly impact your gameplay experience. Legendary Gear crafting has been removed, and we've significantly revamped the crafting process for non-Legendary Gear. Key changes include a restructured affix system, the removal of prototype crafting, and adjustments to targeted processing.

All-New Path of Progression

The all-new Path of Progression is set to play a vital role in a Hunter's growth, offering detailed and comprehensive goals along with extremely generous rewards. This revamped system ensures a more rewarding and structured journey as you advance through the game, making each step of your progression more impactful and satisfying.

More Endgame Content

Supreme Showdown: Face 20 high-difficulty boss challenges with new map mechanics. Master the balance between damage and survival to earn a Legendary Season Pactspirit of your choice.

Boss Conquest: A daily event where you may challenge the formidable Golden Havoc - Odak, a boss that grows stronger with damage. Earn daily rewards and unlock milestone bonuses based on your challenge tier. Test your skills and reap the benefits every day!

Love Hate relationship

Okay so I have played torchlight and torchlight 2 and I enjoyed them, as for this torchlight it's a love-hate relationship because I love the art style, the playstyle, the builds, and the characters but please add controller support and better tutorials because I've played to end game but still not sure on some of the mechanics of the game. I did show my support and bought the season pass but 15$ to 20$ for a season pass is quite steep I loved the game so much tho it was well worth it also please add more side quests and elements to the maps because they just seem a bit bland. I look forward to future updates and hope for controller support also please add some kind of multiplayer play say for like epic bosses but make it an option because I do love playing solo but at times it would have been fun to play with another player. I give 4 out of 5 because I know this is a new game that just came out, keep up the good work! As for the hate part, I hate that I got to end the game pretty quick because I didn't want the ride to the end and end gameplay is quite limited to playing since it has a like stamina feature please don't limit us to playing!

Long time RPG enthusiast

Devs, you deserve a standing ovation! You released this game shortly after Diablo Immortal, which is hard to compete against, and simply put out a game far superior to immortal in every aspect! Thanks for keeping the genre alive!

Now I’ve played two separate characters. One’s level 79 and the other 65, so I’ve put some time into this game and will be playing this game for the foreseeable future. The skill system is very similar to Path of Exiles which is one of my favorites. Excellent job on that. The loot system is everything immortal lacked. You want to focus on elemental damage? Farm prefixes with Elemental. Raw damage? Again, prefixes that surround it. A balanced tank? Prefixes… outstanding job on the loot system.

End game could use some work, but we were given a full game that exceeded my expectations and for the people complaining this is P2W! I’m sorry, but this game is by far the best rpg ever released on mobile and is far from P2W. Play immortal for the true meaning of P2W. Again, thank you devs for the hard work and creating this masterpiece. You guys deserve the recognition. Ohh and avoid putting PvP into the game. That’s when the concept of P2W comes in.

Loving most of it so far

So I’m level 30 (out of 80 I think) on 3 different characters. I really enjoy the gameplay, the looks, the story. I enjoy them a lot. That being said, let me talk more about the negatives (and realize that I still gave it 4 stars so these aren’t game ruining). First of all, a lot of stuff isn’t explained well so I’m having to internet research and really figure a lot of stuff out on my own. Like what stats or gear a character should be wearing. How some things work together. Etc. Really there needs to be more comprehensive explanations of things. Second, I don’t like how the only gear that effects your appearance is your weapon/shield unless you purchase total appearance costumes. Gear should change how you look. My final complaint is that (I’m playing in English) the language feels a bit clunky. I have 3 kids and play with sound off so I read the dialogue and it feels like it was written by a non English speaker. Not enough to ruin it, just feels weird to me. Other than those things, I really like it and plan to keep playing for sure.
