Jot it down - Minimal note app 4+

I am using this app to replace MiniNote, which has apparently been abandoned. Similar functionality, with a much nicer look, in a single-PC notes-keeping app. Only thing missing is the ability to backup (export) the JotItDown database.

This is my first day using the app and it's exactly what I was looking for. Simple with just the features needed to create a quick basic note. I also like the clean minimalist look.

However, I've noticed that everytime I open a past note the timestamp changes whether I edit the note or not. I don't know if that's on purpose, and it's nit a big deal but I would rather have it show the actual when it was created and/or last edited timestamp. I am not sure if it does the same thing with date as this is my first day using it but I assume it does.

Just a minor detail. Otherwise great app for what I wanted.

I love this app and use it on a daily for work. It’s perfect because I can quickly access my notes with shortcuts and dismiss it from my screen just as easily.

My only problem is that the app does not automatically check the spelling/grammar despite it being enabled on my Mac. I have to keep re-enabling it for the note specifically every time I open one. If it had its own spell check feature or a fix to this problem, it would be 5 stars.
