Description

Completely free. No ads. No in-app purchases.

Arctopia is a classic turn-based puzzle game.

Solve 147 levels across 14 chapters of varying difficulty.

In each level of Arctopia, your goal is to strategically use blocks of ice to extinguish all of the sinister eyebrowed flames that menace the level. Unfortunately, this is rarely straightforward, as fires may be inconveniently placed, blocked by burning oil barrels, or defended by blockades of ice.

You can create and destroy ice, but only below your current position, so thinking ahead is mandatory. . . and there are many traps for the unwary!

(Note that if you find early levels too easy (or you find a particular level too frustrating!), you can always skip to a different level and come back later.)

The number of moves taken for your best solution is saved for each level, so you can strive for maximum efficiency if you so desire.

The intro levels are (skippable) tutorial stages, so don't worry about learning the basics of the game.

Good luck!

A Gem

This is a unique puzzle app for free with no ads. A great compliment to an evening podcast. I finished every level after a few weeks.

Great for all ages!

I’ve finished all 137 puzzles. One of the last I did in 10 moves. A world record. It took about 3 months at a few hours daily. I have the time, I’m old. Got the wife and grandchildren hooked. The moves seemed as intricate as chess; both rewarding and frustrating at the same time. We LOVE it! It also has a psychological effect of learning about oneself in the areas of logic, problem solving and emotions. What I would like to see added is a way to number each try and how many moves each try took so I can compete against myself. I’ve gone back to difficult levels that I can’t remember how I solved. A benefit of being old. I’d more than gladly pay for a pack of different puzzles. I’m not sure if you folks know what you have here. Besides hours of fun, you have an intricate, psychological game that helps one’s mind ponder logic while being able to observe one’s emotions and thinking processes. This game also has a creative aspect. Well, at least to hear my wife’s creative cussing. It’s like music. To anyone who hasn’t downloaded Arctopia. Do it now. It’s worth good money and they’re giving it away free. To the creators of this app. Great job! Please consider thee above add-on and get started on another puzzle pack. I will gladly and enthusiastically pay 10 bucks for a new puzzle pack; even tho I’m still enjoying going back to the puzzles that took 300 or more moves ( I think 328 is the highest ) and see if I beat my old score. ( Hint: the add-on ) Great work! My wife thanks you, my grandchildren thank you, and I thank you. IMO of James Cagney.
