iPuja is a Hindu prayer application. It feature Hindu deities and the respective mantras to chant for each one and their corresponding Audio file to help you pray at home. All the deities are actual Hindu Idols found at the Shiv Shakti Mandir, in Mauritius. The Idols featured are Ganesha, Shiva, Durga Mata, Krishna Radha, Ram Parivaar, Kartikeya, Hanuman, Santoshi Mata, Saraswati Mata, Vishnu, Nandi Devta, Shiva Lingum and Tulsi tree.
We have a prayer book & mantra chanting section to help you meditate. Some of them have Audio and some have just text with English Translations. For the audio ones, it loops through the mantras for continuous repetitive chanting of these powerful mantras. It features the Gayatri Mantra, Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, Hanuman Chalisa, Durga Chalisa amongst others.
Idol worship is one of the main precepts of Hinduism. The idol is a symbol, a form, with which the mind can be connected and concentrated upon. More than any abstract concept, an image or a symbol (yantra) is the best aid to concentrate and control ones mind and attention. By keeping the mind concentrated on a particular image, the mind can be stabilized. Idol worship helps us to concentrate the energies that emanate from a prayer into one strong flow of current in one particular direction.

It's really nice to chalisa's and mantra's handy all the time. Hope there will be more voice mantra in future upgrade...
Good but room for improvement
Great app. Lots of info. What would make it better is to have more audio content then just 5 mantra's. This allows the user to listen to different prayers all the time and for those that don't know how to chant them, they would be able to learn. This would make the app off the charts in my opinion
Many errors and typos
Excellent concept but what makes me sad is the typos and blatant mistakes in mantras and chants. Hanuman chalisa has some strange text after first stanza. Seems error in copy paste. Penultimate line of morning mantra is wrong. Similar errors across. Please fix the content and if possible also provide actual Sanskrit text to read from.
