Divvy - Window Manager 4+

Ive owned and relied on this app for years, probably was one of the first people to purchase it. I also own a copy for windows. Recently it no longer launches. I just get a message that I have to delete and reinstall the app. I do that, but no dice. I also logged in/out of the app store and rebooted my computer etc. All the combinations of the above. It refuses to work. Sadly to have to move on to another app as this was my favorite. 4 Stars because of the many years I loved this app.

This product is so intuitive and functional! A little tinkering and this software is a must have! I am a heavy mulit-monitor user within the windows environment (3 monitors) and have used many different software for multi-window management and ended up with Ultramon for windows for YEARS. I was looking for a Mac equivelant since there is no Ultramon for Mac. Online Forums and other sites mentioned SizeUp and was right about to purchase it as a standalone product, but decided to search for it on the app store, and I'm glad I did and saw this app and read the amazing reviews. At first, I thought the app was WAY too simple for my needs, but as I read through the instructions, it was way more intuitive and advanced than I thought. The only thing I would improve about this app was that the Devs should make all the checkboxes "on" by default in the General Tab: Start Divvy, Show Divvy, Keep Panel open until dismissed, cycle between screens...

And the shortcuts should always have "Global Shortcut" enabled by default (or else why use it?). All in all, such a great product I now can't live without and glad it's on the app store (for auto-updates, etc). I'm now going to purchase this for my Windows machines as well. GREAT PRODUCT~!!!

The Odyssey G9 is a monster 49" widescreen display. So much of my time was occupied dragging windows, moving things around, managing Spaces, etc. I went searching for a tool that could match Windows PowerToys' Fancy Zones. Divvy beats the socks off that (and it's available for Windows). I created a keyboard shortcut system that physically maps to 9 window locations I use. By using the QWE, ASD, and ZXC keys, which makes a physical square on my keyboard (look at those keys on your keyboard, they make a square). Those correspond to the 4 corners (QEZC) of my display, full left and right (AD), center top and bottom (WX), and full center (S). As it’s a physical representation of the display there was no memorization needed.

Amazing tool, I would say a prerequisite for ultra-widescreens
