Wonderful game, main actress needs work & hints too

Love the game, wish there was a way to get better hints because I kept having to use the internet to understand what I’m supposed to do at any given moment, but I know a lot of other ND games have gotten that taken care of (I am referring to the ameteur version, yes). The main actress playing Nancy is a pretty bad actress and sounds like she’s on Blue’s Clues or something, which makes me feel weird playing this game, but it’s cool. It’s a fun game, worth the money for sure.

Pretty dissapointed...

Was quite an avid Nancy Drew player years ago so I was extra excited to get back into it and play a game again. Purchased the game and as soon as I tried to open and play I got a notice saying that it's incompatable. Nothing in any of the info gives a clue to this. In fact it says it's compatable with anything newer than update 10.7.5 in the info. When you try to contact the support it doesn't exist anymore. Fantastic.

This game, and apparently other Nancy Drew games from what I'm realizing, should be removed from the appstore. $20 isn't cheap. How many times over have they taken $20 from people for a game that can't be played.

Thank you, HerInteractive, but your Queen is in Another Tomb.

As to be expected, HerInteractive produces a fun, entertaining game with great graphics. However, fans of the Nancy Drew series may be disappointed with this one. I am not saying it was a bad game. It was just ok. I was looking for more story. It seems like the majority of the game was spent solving senseless puzzles and decoding hieroglyphics. Basically, another puzzle intensive game. However, the characters are fun. I enjoyed talking to them. That is, when you can talk to them. And seeing as most of the storyline comes from them, I was disappointed. I would have loved for Nancy Drew to find fake journal entries written by the Pharaoh and Nefetari similar to what was found in Shadow Ranch or Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon. And the unveiling of the true villian was extremely anti-climatic and boring. And that's usually the best part of the game.

To sum it up, if you are looking for a story driven Nancy Drew game, you have come to the wrong place. If you want a puzzle-heavy game with great characters, I think you will be pretty happy with your purchase. A must-buy to complete a Nancy Drew collection, however, there are better ones. This game was hyped up a little for me and I think it fell short.

I would recommend Captive Curse, Shadow at the Water's Edge or Deadly Device before you buy this game.
