Definitely best app of its kind.
-- Michael Weber
I'd highly recommend it for anyone who doesn't already have a location app. The normal asking price is a bargain.
Awesome app!!! Going to make location scouting a lot more convenient!
just purchased your app. BRILLIANT! :) thanks so much!
Map-a-Pic is faster than Evernote in that it does specifically what it's designed to do.

Great location scouting app
This is a very simple to use. Has everything needed to document a location (photos, key words, GPS coordinates/address). Love that you can share the location notes and photos via email.
Would give it five stars if only there is an easier way to add a new location that you are currently not at. I would love a feature that allows you to input an address or GPS coordinates for a new location and have it save that spot on your list. Currently, the map defaults newly added locations to the same exact spot it thinks you are at that moment using the iPhone's GPS or wifi location. Then, you would have to manually move the location map pin to the correct location.
Would also love to see a way to share the actual app file with another map-a-pic user so that they don't have to re-enter the data or import the location photos from an email.
No panoramic support, limited camera
For location scouting, panoramic image support would be greatly appreciated.
As an animator it would be nice to also be able to access the iPhones other image functions especially the filters. As it stands the camera only takes basic pictures.
It would also be nice if the image player also supported the ability to view panoramic images in pov mode or through simulated viewfinder.
Backup Won’t Work!
I have been using this app for a long time and I have always used Dropbox to backup my locations. I buy an iPhone X and the app is not letting me get all my locations back. When I tap to restore all it says is “preparing to restore” and won’t do anything else. It doesn’t even try to connect to Dropbox. Please make this work again.. I love the app, I just want it to work. Thanks.
Developer Response ,
Hi -- the Dropbox integration has been fixed in the latest version. Please give it a try and write me at firstname.lastname@example.org if there are still any issues. Happy location scouting! -Pavel
