Converted a /ps file from Pagemaker 7 with no problem

When I first tried this program, I thought it didn’t work very well but decided to look into why the converted book (335 pages long) looked terrible. After checking my work, I realized that I had not embedded the fonts in the .ps file. Once I did that, the results look perfect.

This program will save me from future vagaries trying to generate .pdfs from Adobe Distiller that came with Pagemaker 7, Sometimes it works, other times it gives a limit check error and doesn’t create the file.

Does the job, with minor bugs

Apparently Preview in Ventura loses the ability to open EPS docs for conversion. As a media producer, I have a tonne of EPS clip art files, so needed a way to convert these to PDF once and for all. This "old" app does the trick.

Has a couple bugs. One is that if you try to load too many files at once, it hangs. Also, if you convert too many files at once, you cannot delete them from the queue interface after conversion, requiring a Quit in order to move on to the next batch.

But in the end, if you need to convert either one, a few or large batches of EPS files to PDF, this eems to do the job. I've opened the resulting PDFs in Affinity Designer and they edit just fine, so looks like it is doing the required job.

Yes, I know. EPS is OLD!!!! But used it for many, many years as the "best" format for vector art.

Works for me 100%

I log in via vpn to a corporate website where I can only physically print documents from. What's the point, I can't fathom, but why would I want to waste paper, only to scan it back in? So I select print, then when it starts printing, I pause it. I find the ps file, drag it onto the icon of the app and voila! Works like a charm.

a year later: I love it even more. Came back to wrinte a review only to realize that I have written one already.
