Terrible tech support
My camera suddenly stopped working with the app and I cannot get it fixed thru tech support. The camera seems to be fully functional but the app can’t connect and I am getting NOWHERE with tech support. You cannot speak to a human being on the phone, you can only communicate via email and there’s hours between emails. My camera isn’t even a year old and until now it’s been great. Little hiccups here and there but nothing egregious until now. So frustrating!
Want to love it but lots of crashing
I love that I can hear her playing and see what she’s doing, but this app crashes CONSTANTLY. I tried taking a picture and I’ve yet to get one because it would crash every time. When I switch between mic and sound it crashes... sometimes it crashes just when I’m watching the camera. Also the treats don’t throw well. I have the insert in for small treats and it’ll still throw multiple. I’ve also been messing with the distance but there is no difference between the middle and low throws.
I also wish I can have the sound on with the mic on. The sound shuts off when I turn on the mic.. most times it’s fine since I know there’s a slight lag so I have enough time to switch it but sometimes I forget. Though I understand that they may have it to prevent echos. So I hope that option becomes available with maybe headphones on?
Otherwise I love the concept and it gives me peace in mind knowing I can check up on her real quick.

Hi there, this is Marina with Petcube Support Team. Speaking about having simultaneous two-way audio, you can absolutely enable that in the app settings. Just open your camera profile > go to Settings > then go to General and turn off the "reduce echo" option.
Regarding the app crashing, I'd be more than happy to help you sort this out. Could you contact me at email@example.com with your Petcube username or email address?
Thanks and look forward to hearing from you!
Only useful feature now gone
We got our PetCube to keep an eye on our pup at night or when leaving her for a couple of hours. The two-way interactive video feature has never really worked as there is significant feedback or lag. So, the main reason we kept the camera was for the sound/movement-initiated recording. They had already greatly diminished this feature by required a paid subscription to retain your recordings more than 4 hours old or to record longer than 10 seconds. Now, we discovered an issue with our old account, and, after waiting days only to hear nothing back from customer service, we opted to close the old account and open a new account to fix the problem ourselves. But apparently, new accounts don’t have access even to the 10 second videos?! We can’t even use our pet camera to keep an eye on our pet without having to pay an additional $50-$100/year?! We are finished with PetCube, and strongly recommend no one else start with them.
