We keep on working on the app stability and removing defects, that prevent you from seeing your pet faster, smoothened video stream so that you can stay with them a bit longer.

Good, but wakes up my dog when used
This app has been pretty reliable for checking in on my puppy when I’m not in the same room as him, but I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of two reasons:
1- the camera emits some kind of super high pitched sound when I am watching the video feed. While I can’t hear it myself, I am 99% positive this happens because I can see that my dog wakes up from his nap or turns to look at the camera the exact second I tune in to watch him. I keep the mic off so that’s not the issue. The blinking light is not strong enough to wake him from his sleep. I wish this didn’t happen. It’s loud enough to happen even when I keep white noise running in his room. Would love if a developer could reply to this feedback because I’m really curious about it.
2- I’m never able to hear my dog when I turn on the sound. This part of the app seems broken to me. I can see he is barking but no sound comes out.
Otherwise this is a reliable camera and I have only had issues connecting to the feed a handful of times.
When I first got this app it was great and allowed for everything I was looking for. I think this may have happened after the last update..but before the update, it was nice that when I opened the app and opened a video, it would stay muted until I clicked on unmute. Now after the update every time I open the app the audio is not muted, even which my phone on silent it plays sound. This is annoying when Im work in a quite office and want to check on my doggo. Strangely, when I click full screen the audio is then muted, then I can go back to the regular screen and it will stay muted.
On a side note, now when I click on the ‘unmute myself’ or ‘unmute my dog’ buttons, they only stay on for a few seconds then turn right back off again.
Ive uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and It seemed to fix the first issue for a couple days, then went back to me having to go to full screen for the audio to be turned off. I would hate to have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling the app because of this.
Recent updates to firmware and app broke 2 new cameras
I pay an incredibly high amount of money to Petcube for premium videos to be saved on the cloud. Guess what I get? Two unusable cameras, sporadic and unreliable motion recordings, and no ability to view the footage live. It’s pretty despicable that a company will take so much money to provide you a service, but that same company doesn’t even care enough to provide you with working product. The cameras are only nine months old by the way. Oh and good luck getting support. Nobody’s ever on the chat. Obviously they don’t care as long as they get your money which you pay a year ahead of time. All so you can have a broken camera with an app that doesn’t work and no one to fix it. Last but not least, it’s really obvious that they turned down the sensitivity of motion detection so that they wouldn’t have to store as much video on the cloud for paying premium customers. As a result, I’ve missed so many treasured moments with my sick pet. Anything to pinch a penny! Shame on you Petcube.
