"Lamp and Vamp is an enjoyable strategy game where players must navigate a vampire to his coffin through a randomly generated neighborhood, while avoiding the local neighborhood watch, determined to catch them. Movement is based on a tile system, each turn the player can move to any adjacent tile, and the vampire hunters also move one tile. The catch is that the vampire hunters have torches and flashlights, and can see ahead. If the vampire is caught in the hunter's line-of-sight, all the hunters in the neighborhood will converge and attempt to corner the vampire, resulting in death."

"It's a puzzle game in which you play a vampire who is trying to return to his coffin. Pesky townspeople and priests block the way but using your powers (BAT-FORM, MIST-FORM, BLOODSUCKING), you can navigate the streets and find your way home. It's absolutely splendid."
And Thomas Schulenberg in http://www.joystiq.com/2014/03/30/lamp-and-vamp-vants-you-to-suck-blood-but-with-strategy/
"If there's one thing that Lamp and Vamp has taught us, it's that being a vampire is tough." ^-^
The castle is now easier to reach, as the Vampire can be resurrected!
Once you've reached the castle, try to survive for as long as possible in order to beat your record.

A dumb diversion... that cheats
I bought this game because it seemed like a fun premise and a decent strategy game, only to learn there is little strategy involved.
The powers are really helpful (at a cost of health). When you complete a level, you're given a random choice to boost powers and stats, but they are minuscule improvements that I didn't feel made your little vampire more powerful. What's the point of getting +10 health when you die in one hit!?!
The worst part of the game is that if you are caught in the light, the myriad of hunters and enemies will chase you ceaselessly! Move into darkness? NOPE! They know exactly where you are. Try to use the bat form to run away? NOPE! Another hunter who didn't even know where you were turns right towards you. Even worse, you die in one hit from anything (many of these attacks are ranged), so good luck progressing at all.
Seems this game was designed to make gamers fail rather than think so that the dumbest among us spend more money on in-app purchases to get by.
Waste of time. Still wishing for that perfect, fun strategy game to come out in the App Store.
Great game but one annoying glitch
The game is awesome, I love it, but there is one glitch that makes it really annoying. Sometimes when I die, the screen goes black and I have to start a new one. Other that that, great game and hope that can be fixed.
No longer works after updating to iOS 9.
All I get is a black screen when I try to load it. iPhone 6 running iOS 9.0.2
