Ratings and Reviews
This app is such an excellent and simple way to learn vocabulary! It partners perfectly with the online course, which is the most comprehensive yet straightforward one I’ve come across. I gained more skill with pronunciation after watching all the videos on the alphabet than I did in a 12 week course in the classroom.
Plus it’s amazing how many complimentary lessons and videos there are that clarify so many of the nuances that can make Dutch feel harder than it is to learn. Somehow these lessons are so brief while still teaching you so much. Definitely pay for the grammar course if you seriously want to learn Dutch.
*As far as the app goes -I would love even more practice for phrases etc, and I’d be happy to pay for it ; ) As a free app, it’s a total asset when learning the language.
So far so good.
Lessons are easy to understand and the flash card format works great with working on the go. My only suggestion would be to provide some context for words/phrases that are different in English but are the same word in Dutch. I'm fortunate my boyfriend is able to help provide that context but without his help I would really struggle.
Quick, smooth, effective
These flash cards are well-conceived for ease of use and tailoring to one's own learning style. The audio is clear and repeatable, and one can easily return to previous items. Hard to image how it could be improved. And, it's fun!
