I’m a Fan

I miss the original Dragon magazine; there’s something, at least to me, that an app will never beat - holding a book or magazine in your hands and being able to turn the pages.

But I’m in my 40s and the world is changing around me, and definitely not all in good ways. Whew.

Dragon+ is fun. I get a little excited whenever the notification pops up on my iPad that there’s a new issue available. I go download it and start reading. It’s not quite the same as getting Dragon (or White Dwarf) in the mail, but it’s close. It can be a little aggravating trying to close an issue to go to read a different one; that’s the biggest complaint that I have.

Most importantly - it’s free. The App is free, issues are free. The only way that you can beat that price is if they paid you to read it.

It’s pretty easy to use, has wonderful articles and great fiction stories too. The original expectation was a lackluster and difficult interface as well as a “okay” quality articles. If a suggestion was to be made it would be a wish for monthly issues rather than what seems like quarterly or bi-monthly.

Great app

Only complaint is that I had the full library of dragon magazines downloaded (prior to their update a few weeks ago) and read them frequently. The update wiped out my library and they have been slow to release the back issues since the update.
