Worth the upgrade

I was amazed at how much better this was, compared with higher-priced apps with more reputation. This helped me with more than 10GB of images.

My only qualm was that the rules didn't work quite as they read (to me?), and so I had to do a few subdivisions of my image folders, and run dedupes separately on each. This did avoid me having to hand-confirm the entire batch, though, which is great.

Works great (deleting is a user problem, not software)

This app has been very useful to me in finding and helping me fix some corruption that occurred when I switched from iPhoto to Photos. A note about the deleting issues that people mention: you need to follow the onscreen prompts of Duplicate Photo Finder on how to delete the photos from Photos. Otherwise, if you just hit your “delete” key on your keyboard all that will happen will be that the photos will be removed from the album they are in but not from your library. That is standard Photos behavior.

Not Simple to use

So I wanted, just like most users to remvoe duplicates from my photo library which was too big for me to handle.
The program did find the duplicate and did create an album with them, but removing them isn't simple as they claim.
You no longer have the option to remove pictures directly from the album. You can only remove from "all pictures". And you can't easily select pictures in the album and move to "all pictures" while having the same items selected.
This was a pain, but finally found a way to work-around that. This is why the 3-stars.

Developer Response ,

You CAN delete photos from the album in Photo application by pressing the Command key. Please contact us via support@overmacs.com for more details or contact Apple and ask for instructions how to delete photos in a Photos library.
