iMass removes boundaries for the spread of the Catholic Mass of Tradition - the Extraordinary Form of the Mass. It brings the Latin Mass to the ends of the earth. iMass provides access to the Mass - anywhere, anytime. Are you unable to attend Mass, either because of health, distance or unavailability of a Latin Mass? iMass streams the Mass live from different locations around the world, or you can view the Mass of the day or the Mass of last Sunday on demand, anywhere, anytime. The broadcast Masses are celebrated in the Extraordinary Form by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter. Are you traveling and would like to find your closest Latin Mass? The iMass Map is continuously updated by users of the app and will eventually show every Latin Mass location approved by the Catholic Church. Complete with Mass times and driving directions. Suppose you don’t want to carry around your missal or you have forgotten it - no problem, with iMass you can follow the Mass with our easy to follow missal. The app also includes the Breviary (Divine Office) and the Rituale - the book of official blessings for priests of 1962. Just to be clear: you cannot fulfill you Sunday obligation by viewing the Mass on iMass. However, in a similar way to other televised Masses, it is a way to unite yourself to the Mass when you are unable to attend. When sickness or another valid reason excuses you of your obligation to attend the Mass, this is the best way you can unite yourself to the Mass that you are unable to attend. iMass. One request-add ordinary of the Mass as separate option

I have used this app more than a few dozen times at Mass or for the divine office. With limited internet access, the one suggestion I offer is to store the main elements of the Mass in the app without needing to download anew each time. As it functions currently one must download each time one wishes to use the app; however, the ordinary of the Mass could be retrievable through editing the app. Then if one can’t download due to limited internet, he can still follow the vast majority of the Mass. Also, sometimes a votive Mass or other type of Mass is offered that is not easily found for download, so having the ordinary of the Mass at an easily found spot in the app will increase use of the app. Surely the ordinary is not too difficult to learn or memorize, but the point of the app is to assist participation just as the hand missal does. Thank you though for a great app overall!Pax.

Great App. Text size too small

The font size on my iPhone XS Pro is minuscule. Too small to be read with my eyes. Same thing on my wife's iPhone 12 Pro. (Both iOS 15.0.2)We tried the options, all the way up to +10, but the number makes no difference. I know the setting took, because when I come back to the settings, the number was updated.Also, the Pro's have big screens and the option page itself is minuscule. Lots of blank space. It would be nice to size the page there according to the screen size.I can still use the app, but I have to manually stretch the image on the screen to read the text.iPad text size is OK on my iPad Pro, but the options do not work there either.

Good app but not helpful when traveling abroad

I bought this app as I was going on pilgrimage to France and did not want to carry my hand missal around with me. I like the layout and everything. However, there needs to be the ability to download propers offline. The ideal would be I can download any days I want offline when I plan to be traveling and then have them in a library of sorts to open. Otherwise, it would be ok if I could download the current day before leaving my accommodation for the day and then have it for me when I get to mass

We are working toward ways of adding this in the future. The database for the breviary and missal is just too large to store on a phone.

I like the rubrics included but I have to go to options every time I open to re-enable them. Is there a way to save that? Once in a blue moon it will but normally it won’t. Thanks!

Sure, look for the “options” on the missal and breviary page and play with the different font sizes until they are good for you. For me I set them to +2 and they are good enough.
