Established in 1963, Heep Hong Society is a leading education and rehabilitation organisation offering professional assessment, guidance, training and family support services. Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related disabilities often get stuck or irritated when facing unforeseeable incidents, sudden change in living environment and daily routines. Problem Solving Kit aims at preparing children for possible changes and emergency situations by improving their problem-solving skills through interactive games. This app covers four scenarios including daily life, school, emergency situations and social interaction. Children will be able to learn how to overcome the problems by themselves via 40 stimulated games.
1. Content:
- Daily life: relatives pass away, participate in wedding party/funeral etc.
- Emergency situations: encounter a fire, get injured, caught in a traffic jam etc.
- School: dictation, change of class venue, wears inappropriate uniform etc.
- Social interaction: encounter argument between parents, new born sibling, drop off at the wrong bus stop etc.
