It has a clean, high-performance user interface with only the most relevant results and no telemetry, no ads and no collection of private information.
We designed it as a premium service to stand at the intersection of the internet and humanity. We hope it will help users amplify their abilities and make them more creative and smarter as well as more productive.
Note about using Kagi extension in Dark Mode: sometimes your default search engine website may flash with white background after doing a search because it had no time to load its theme preferences but got promptly redirected to Kagi by the extension.
To avoid unwanted flashes please try to select different default search engine in Safari settings. We recommend trying DuckDuckGo

Issues with bangs
Even with the recent update my searches keep getting redirected back to Kagi when using !g and other search engine bangs. Otherwise works well.
For a private-only Safari user: un-usable
I only use safari on private mode. This app is not compatible with that workflow because asks you to log in for every search.
If possible, having the user sign in on the Kagi app would be a huge improvement, even if they needed to log in once a week or so — which definitely beats once a search.
2nd order effects: Omitting that this only works with non-private browsing in the app description (which I hope was tested) probably causes users to lose trust in the product.
Needs better private browsing support
The extension basically works as advertised, but when used in private browsing mode it needs a login every time in order to work. This extension would be a lot more usable if it allowed you to configure a login token for private browsing like you can on the desktop.
