Lightweight PDF 4+

It's still compressing well, and fast. However about 4/5 of the time after it finishes compressing a PDF, the application crashes.

It also lacks any kinds of settings/adjustments, but normally that's fine with me. Just drop and go works for most cases, and on average the savings in file size for the PDFs I'm compressing is around 50%.

I just hope a stability update is released, or I'll have to start looking elsewhere.

I had many pdfs which I needed to upload, but the site would allow no greater than 2MB files. My original pdfs were much larger - some over 8MB. After spending hours trying many different approaches, and many different apps, I tried this one. At first, I was skeptical because there did not appear to be any settings or options. After trying it on my first document, and seeing the large document reduced to a few hundred KB, I doubted what to expect after opening the reduced pdf. Surprisingly, I could barely tell any difference between the reduced and original in terms of quality. I continued using the app on the rest of my documents, and results were consistently stunning. In one case, it reduced an 8MB pdf to around 500K, and the quality was excellent. This app saved me many long hours and headaches.

The only suggestion I have is to have the ability to keep the original instead of overwriting in-place. Still, it keeps it clean to only have a single file to deal with, or wonder where the output is. It is great as-is.

This is, simply put, amazing. All you really need to do is to drag and drop, and you'll have your file compressed without compromising much of the quality, and at record speed, too. It's fair to note that it doesn't make a copy of the compressed file as it will automatically save over the original file, which is preferable to me. But keep this in mind to those who likes to keep the og file untouched before downloading this. Still giving this five stars because it has everything I need, which is quick, convenient, and easy.
