Once you focus you'll begin to score high and will be awarded with unique medals that fill up your game board. It takes just 10 easy points to unlock the first medal. The second, third and fourth medals are just as easy. The fifth and sixth medals are more difficult with the seventh and eighth medals almost impossible. Are you up for the intense hyper-casual challenge? What is the hypercasual game Live for the Ding all about?

Whether you're crushing candy, flapping birds or battling in a royale – all you're doing is completing a series of actions in a complex graphical environment and trying to score a combination of points to move onto a more difficult challenge. You either completed the required actions to succeed, or you didn't.

Live for the Ding takes these actions and boils them down into the simple pressing of a button – you either completed the required action to succeed (you pressed DING) or you didn't (you pressed DONG), and rather than scoring a combination of points, you score a single point – no cheating, no flukes. Just pure, simple, challenging gameplay.

The challenge is to stay focused in trying to beat your own high score – low scoring rounds are typical at first with higher scoring rounds seemingly impossible. But once you have a good round and score much higher than you thought possible it's then clear that the game isn't difficult at all – the difficulty comes from the pressure you put on yourself – and scoring 100 points is as easy as scoring 10 points – it just depends on how long your nerve holds out. It really is simple to score high – you just need to zone out and relax.

Simple mechanic, difficult game

The game is difficult, to start off. I don’t have the reaction time necessary to be any good at it. It’s well made, good about showing you what you need to do, and runs smoothly. Keep in mind that, like the title says, you only want to press the button(s) that say “ding”. That’s where the difficulty comes in, as the other type of button says “dong” so you have to pay attention to which one you’re hitting. You can send high scores to a leaderboard and see how you stack up.

Changed my life and made me into the Super Stud Champion of the World

Avast ye, maties! Have you ever dinged or donged? Now ye can do it from the safety of your own vessel. Faster than salt water on the poop deck does this wee delight move. I take this game with me whenever I’m on an expedition, fighting the Kraken or in Sick Bay staving off Scurvy. The doc says I need more Vitamin C in my life. I say wrong to Ol’ Sawbones. I needs me more Live for the Ding.
