Description

Help make your community better for biking

> Automatically log all your rides
> Improve infrastructure by rating your local streets
> The more you ride, the more prizes you could win!

Log rides automatically
The Love to Ride app can automatically log all bike rides, long and short, without you needing to press 'start' and 'stop.' If it determines you're riding a bike, the app kicks in and records your ride.
There's no need to pull your phone out of your pocket before or after a ride!

Rate My Routes
You can now give feedback on how safe and comfortable you feel when riding your bike on different streets in your community.
You simply 'paint' your routes with your finger. For example, red for where you feel unsafe and green for where you feel safe.
Your anonymous feedback is combined with everyone else’s on a map to show which parts of your community are in greatest need of improvement for biking.

Incident & infrastructure reporting
Easily report specific locations where you've experienced bike accidents, encountered issues, or want to suggest improvements. Pinpoint problem spots on the map and submit your feedback directly. Your reports help create a safer, more bike-friendly community by highlighting areas for local authorities to address.

Win prizes year-round
With our seasonal campaigns and monthly app giveaways, you could win big when you ride.
Each year we award big prizes to hundreds of riders. You could win new bikes, bike accessories, dream getaways, cash prizes, and more!

Additional features include:

> Start/stop and manual bike trip logging
> A heatmap of where you've biked
> A travel diary
> Biking streaks and motivation to ride more
> Integration with Love to Ride's biking challenges

It’s a start

There are some things I like with this app, that my other apps don’t do. But I already have a gps, and t runs great, so I wish the neat toys didn’t rely on me using the auto log. The neat toys are the personal heat map, and the ability to draw out which roads are friendly and which are not. Unfortunately, I can upload my data straight from my gps, but only with the auto log. I don’t like the auto log, because I already use my gps and Strava to load to the fantastic web site. So all the auto logged rides are duplicates. I would like to mark friendly and unfriendly roads in my area without having to use auto log. In fact I think I already know some roads I would like to mark red, without having to go out and ride them again. I can’t even rate my rides that are more than five miles long!!! That is lousy, since that’s every ride for me. My commute is triple that each way. I love the web site and have been using it for many years, so I hope the app also develops into something useful positive, and useful. But we have a way to go.

A lot of work needed

A lot of trips randomly drop from history. The manual feature could allow you to mark on the map, because the "start a ride" sometimes misses entirely and I still want to review the routes. The app quickly loses its use if I have to go on Google maps just to fill it out. Even the route it managed to capture wouldn't let me review even though it's less than 5 miles.

It's a nice idea

Terrible App

This app does not accurately record distance and you can’t edit your rides to correct it. It also does not connect to the Apple Watch. So, I’ll be using Map My Ride to record my bike rides since it’s way more accurate and connects to this app. The app takes you to their website for most things which is annoying…you should be able to do everything in the app. The app and the website are not user friendly and it seems impossible to contact anyone even though they have a section for that. I’m only using this app for a month long work event, and I would never recommend it to anyone.
