Wish there was a widget!! I enjoy using this app but find myself going to another that has a widget due to the ease of use. I have the paid subscription and there are no complaints only this suggestion. I never need the remote which was a life saver with our puppy!!!!!!!

It doesn’t work sometimes

I downloaded this app about a month ago. At first the ads were obnoxious and so I bought the payment method to make it ad free. It worked sometimes. But then it started not detecting my tv for some reason. This past week it did but just decided not to today. I am connected to the WiFi on both devices. I tried on my iPad and my phone. I restarted my phone. I took myself off the WiFi and then turned it back on and it still won’t connect or detect the device. I emailed the support system and they haven’t responded. I think this app has a lot of issues that need fixing and I don’t blame them for wanting to make money but the excessive ads at first were really annoying and obnoxious that you couldn’t press 3 buttons without getting an ad. Then the whole connection thing is a little frustrating to say because it really makes no sense. If you want to charge people and/or make them watch ads at least make your app good enough to detect a tv that is on in general.

Overboard on the ads

Sure it works. Pretty slow and clunky. I’d be more likely to make a one time purchase than to pay a subscription for a tv remote. And if you don’t want the subscription, they’ll jam multiple ads per minute down your throat. Now imagine trying to navigate a remote that can only handle about 1 input ever 3 seconds, then getting absurdly consistent ads in between inputs with a screaming child right next to you because the tv is playing some kind of show that’s not a cartoon. Recently I tried searching a movie, and got 3 ads before I could even finish typing the name of the movie. Subscription models are not meant for apps like this that are clearly meant to be a 1 time purchase. If you use this app and pay the subscription, just buy a universal remote. It’s cheaper than the subscription and is a 1 time purchase. (You can even make them work on multiple tvs)

When you use the normal tv remote you can type normally. When it comes to the app however, every time you click a letter you are prompted to upgrade and it does it every single time you click a letter. The problem is it keeps prompting when i don't need to buy it. I’m not trying to use my phone keyboard I’m using the tv keyboard. Other than that, the app is pretty good.
