• Minor UI fixes and updates

This version contains various small improvements: • Fixes an issue with importing connections • Added an option to open the Settings window on launch, or to use the app with a dock icon. • Various small improvements and fixes

This version fixes a bug where the settings window could be opened behind other windows, and contains various minor visual fixes and updates.

This update brings two changes, one which is useful for all users, and the other applicable to a small number of users. First, the transformation editing interface has been updated to be both simpler and also more useful. Now, instead of a fixed set of mathermatical operations, operations can be added one at a time and in any order. This makes simple calculations much simpler, and makes more complex calcuations possible. Second, this app now supports transforming all Midi 1.0 message types. This is mostly useful for blocking certain messages (such as all Quarter-frame messages) but if you want to experiment with remapping "Pitch-Bend" to spam "Tune Request" messages, you can. If you are interested in exploring these new types of messages, they can be enable from the settings window. Lastly, this update includes a few minor tweaks to improve various minor elements to the app.

• this version adds a two-row display for easier viewing on displays with a narrower pixel width. A button to switch will automatically appear on narrower displays, and this can be set manually in the Settings window. • more minor bug-fixes and visual enhancements

v2.4.0  • Adds the option to "Output Nothing" as the result of a transformation. This can be used to filter out unwanted MIDI messages. • Improved performance of MIDI message displays. • The grammar of transform functions has been updated to be clearer. For example, "From 0" has been renamed to "Fixed Value of 0" to more accurately describe what it does. This does not affect the functionality of any existing transformations. • New example presets (utilizing the new "Output Nothing" option) • Lastly, this update features some visual interface improvements

v2.3.0 fixes a couple bugs.  • The first relates to displaying sysex and other non-transformable midi information, which will no longer be displayed and should marginally improve performance • The other bypasses a bug in an underlying framework which could in extremely rare circumstances cause a crash

This version adds the ability to create virtual MIDI connections, which can be useful in certain circumstances. To do so, simply select the "Create New..." in the dropdown menu when selecting a connection's input/output. Additionally, this release fixes a bug that caused midi messages for which there were no corresponding transformations to not be delivered, and fixes a bug which could under certain circumstances cause additional & extraneous virtual MIDI Inputs to be created.

MMT v2 Update Notes: • The Monster now lives in the menu bar. • Fittingly for a small utility app like this, the app now runs from the menu bar instead of from the dock. The menu bar drop-down provides a brief summary of the active transformers for quick debugging and allows access to the usual editor window. • You can now set the app to launch on login from the Settings Window • It’s now easier to create transformations from MIDI events • View MIDI events coalesced (similar events are combined into one item) in the event list viewer • Create a transformation by starting from one or more MIDI events (either single events or coalesced events) this can turn a lot of tedious typing into less-tedious knob-twiddling. • Use the new standalone MIDI event viewer for debugging and tests • It’s now easier to manage your connections and transformations • Disable transformations for temporary debugging or any other purpose. Secondary-click on a transformation to bring up the menu. • Save transformations as user presets for later reuse. Secondary-click on a transformation to save it, and add saved presets from the regular preset menu. • Import and export connections. Individual connections can be exported by secondary-clicking on a specific connection, or all connections can be exported by clicking the “Export…” button in the top toolbar. Import connections by pressing the “Import…” button in the top toolbar. • Connections can be collapsed in the editor window, providing an easier to see overview of the setup • Number fields provide hints • Number fields now provide warnings when unusable values are entered. For example, MIDI Channels can only be constrained to between 0 and 15. And dividing by zero is not allowed (take it up with the mathematicians!) • Technical notes: • New Features depend on features introduced in macOS 13.0, so that OS or higher is now required. v1.0 will continue to work as it has. • The editor window is now more performant with large projects • Other bug fixes & minor improvements v2.0.3 updates: • Fixed the labels for launching the app on login.
