Mindbrake turns the urge to open social feeds into a quick challenge in math, physics, or programming. Before you enter an app you blocked yourself, you solve a short problem. Get it right, earn minutes. Miss it, wait for the next try. This is not parental control. It is voluntary self-monitoring for adults who want to reduce compulsive screen use and train their mind at the same time. HOW IT WORKS • You pick which apps to block with Family Controls. • When you try to open a blocked app a short STEM challenge appears. • Correct → temporary unlock minutes. • Wrong → stay out and come back when you can focus. • You can also spend time-bank minutes without a challenge if you earned them earlier. CONTENT • Over 1,200 questions in English and Spanish. • Three subjects: math, physics, and programming. • Four challenge types: multiple choice, true/false, numeric answer, code output. • A 200-level progress map with chests, bosses, and rewards. WHAT IT IS FOR • Cutting doomscrolling without apps that only shame you. • Earning screen time through deliberate practice, not pure willpower. • Keeping a daily streak and seeing your real progress week by week. • Logging manual activities (studying, reading, taking an exam) and crediting yourself honestly. PRIVACY • Your data stays on your iPhone. We do not upload it to servers. • The apps you choose to block are an opaque iOS token — Mindbrake never sees which apps you picked. • No third-party trackers. No selling your information. SUBSCRIPTION Mindbrake premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription: • Monthly: $7.99 USD per month (or local equivalent). • Annual: $49.99 USD per year (or local equivalent). Both include a 7-day free trial provided by Apple. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
