Content amazing. App crashes.

I LOVE the Monocle content. I wish I could listen to this programming every day. The only thing holding me back is the fact that some days, like today, the app just won’t open. Other days, it crashes in the middle of a show. And lastly, after listening for a while and wanting to pause the show, I open the app mid-play only to have to start from the beginning again and find the spot where I left off manually.

All in all, amazing content. Couldn’t be better. App needs improvement for small bugs.

Great content but app needs work

5 star content and programming but the app could use work.

It crashes quite frequently. Also it often does not let me load the app when in airplane mode, even if I have programs saved to listen to. I would like it if they added a 30 second forward/reverse button like Audible has. Also saved programs should be deleted from “unplayed” when the program is finished rather than when it is started. It should be easier to resume playback mid-episodes.

Again the programming is top notch. The app should be relatively easy to make functional.

Needs technical help

Monocle, I’ve waited for YEARS for you to improve this app, and it never gets any better. I love your content but the app makes it hard enjoy it. If I navigate away from the app and come back even a few seconds later, or if I set my phone down while streaming the podcast, the app restarts, I lose my place in the podcast, and I have to restart the show and scrub through to find where I left off. It’s such a serious error that I thought you would’ve resolved it by now but it’s been the same for years. Today, sadly, I’ll delete the app and use a different podcast service like Stitcher to listen to your shows without interruption.
