(I like to pay when it is convenient for me) (I don’t believe it is the app but the internet service provider I have to deal with) Still unable to login, I decided to offload the app, turn my phone off then back on again, then I disabled the Wi-Fi and enabled it again, I reinstalled the app and now it works just fine. . The issue is back, even with the latest update. I’ve deleted the app, shutdown my phone, started my phone back up, downloaded the app and again the issue pursues. I even tried my previous remedy with no luck. I guess I’ll remove the app and start paying my bill on Optimum’s website. . It’s a shame that the app no longer works due to technical difficulties.)((Just figured out what the problem is, it’s because of my vpn, I decided to disable it to see what would happen and bingo, I have access to the app and to confirm, I re-enabled my vpn and I have technical difficulties once again. It looks like I have to disable my vpn long enough to use the app then re-enable it.))

Edited: After they released their latest version, I can see my bills, and the app is no longer crashing! Changed from 3 to 5 stars.Like others have stated, there is no way to view the actual bill in the ‘My Optimum’ app, you either have to use their website or the old ‘Optimum Support’ app, which is frustrating. I do have to say the UI is smoother and more modern than the old app, which is a good change. I found a crash: from the list of devices connected to the WiFi, if you try and click on a device, the app will act like it is opening to see the device details but will then crash. Model 2022 SE iOS 17.

I was hoping to actually see status information on my optimum service, such as outages, etc. The problem is (I was told this by two different optimum technicians), Optimum’s infrastructure does not support ANY communication between my modem and optimum. It’s just too old, and optimum has no plans to upgrade it to meet the same level of service as xfinity, cox, etc….. Every time I open the app I get a notification that there’s a problem with my equipment. There is no problem with it. I’ve had it checked twice by optimum technicians, and even had the modem replaced (that’s when I was told that it’s optimum’s infrastructure that has the problem, not my equipment). I also NEVER get any sort of updates on outages, even though I’ve triple checked to make sure I’m signed up for them. Outages here NEVER show up on the outage map, either. I had hopes that this newest update meant that Optimum was getting with the times, but…. NOPE. The app is absolutely useless. It may work for those in the northeast, or somewhere else, but here in WNC, don’t bother with it.

I have been a customer of Optimum since 2012 I finally after being on the phone with them multiple times over the years got them to get my bill to a reasonable amount. Now they have taken away my service. Have no television and no Internet and spent the last 24 hours on the phone and through text messaging with three different Optimum agents and no one can resolve my issue. There was an error message on both of my cable boxes that said CUC. I googled it and it means that Optimum is not sending a signal to my cable boxes and my gateway Internet box. Obviously this must be on purpose because every agent keeps insisting that I get an optimum technician to come to my house and it will cost me $80. Well, I told them my answer. I am going tomorrow on Monday to cancel all of my services with Optimum. I am stuck in my house in total silence with no television and no Internet. I’ll be moving onto another Internet and TV provider goodbye Optimum thanks for nothing
